Way to fail. Epic fail trying to secure a long term deal and you do something to earn this? At first glance obviously very disappointing.

The glass half full case for this and basically the whole preseason is at least we have a shot at building depth on the OL for down the road. Lotta guys getting important reps right now that they otherwise wouldn’t be getting. Sucks now but it could come in handy in Dec/Jan.

Limmer was getting snaps at C with the 1s. Jourdan has said that they're seeing if it should be Thomas-LG and Avila-C or Avila-LG and Limmer-C, if Jackson (Jonah) isn't ready.
I saw that and I'm sure that Limmer is doing great, but my point was that the team probably already knew that Jackson was going to be suspended because Noteboom is usually the next man up.

Well, at least we know he won't be available for the start of the season. Time for somebody to step up.

I want to know the full story behind this, is it something he can overcome or is it going to continue to be a problem. This should be a wakeup call for him and the organization. I'm sorry but my faith in Noteboom staying healthy is very limited. The Rams may need to make LT a priority this next off season.

And Jackson is a much better run blocker. this really pisses me off.
It is what it is.Like I’ve said all a long that Alaric Jackson won’t play all 17 games & Noteboom is a perfect 6th man for now.

The hope might be that McCledon can maybe handle LT.The concern is Bug Rob’s health. Then we have never seen Johna Williams as a Ram & why Detroit let him walk so easily?

I guess we’ll just have to see how pissed off you get ? Alaric’s first game will be against Nick Bosa to start the season. The question is if he is ready to go by then. It’s sort of interesting to think how The Rams keep things in house. There can always be more than they let out.Not sure what The NFL’s injury report works during the preseason & how teams can cover things up??

I drink the Kool-aide all the time, but reality could be something totally different.I gather the info as logically as I can.

BTW - it does suck & I was just watching teams & players drafted like the Jets. There were a lot of LT’s drafted besides QB’ & WR’s early. The Rams need to find a LT & it looks like Alaric Jackson isn’t that guy ? If so at what cost ?

A LT will be on there Top position list 2025.

Guessing this is why he was so cheap. Something tells me this was pending and most of the league knew.

I don't believe suspended players count against the 53-man roster limit.

So, the Rams could temporarily avoid one difficult roster cut; and hold onto an extra OL (Bruss), WR (Smith and/or Johnson), LB (Speights and Hummel, plus Reeder) or other position.

Hey, I am trying to look on the bright side.

Kind of a loud summer for this team in terms of minor injuries and starters missing reps.

We don’t need fuckhead mistakes like this.

Glad we’ve got depth though.

More problems for Rams' offensive line as Alaric Jackson is suspended

Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson (77) blocks against the Baltimore Ravens last season.

Alaric Jackson, the Rams' starting left tackle, is suspended without pay for the first two games of the season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, the team announced Friday.
The Rams did not disclose details of the violation. Coach Sean McVay is expected to address the situation Saturday after the Rams’ final preseason game in Houston.

Jackson is the second Ram suspended for games against the Detroit Lions and the Arizona Cardinals. Backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is suspended for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substances policy while playing for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jackson, scheduled to earn $4.9 million this season after he signed a one-year, restricted free-agent tender, has been sidelined for weeks because of an ankle sprain suffered early in training camp. Veteran Joe Noteboom and second-year pro Warren McClendon Jr. have worked at left tackle in Jackson’s absence.

Jackson’s suspension further complicates the offensive line situation ahead of the Sept. 8 opener at Detroit.
Starting left guard Jonah Jackson has not practiced in team drills since early in camp because of a shoulder injury. Right tackle Rob Havenstein has been sidelined because of an ankle injury.
Zach Thomas has worked at left guard, and Noteboom and McClendon at right tackle.

This story originally appeared in Los Angeles Times.

Bone head move for a player trying to solidify his future as a bonafide starting LT in the NFL, which comes with a hefty price tag.

Noteboom is about as good as you can hope for as a backup. Hopefully he can stay healthy for a whole two games, which is no sure thing, epscially with him.

The NFL suspending anyone pursuant to a Personal Conduct Policy is a joke when you see what kind of garbage human beings they allow to suit up every Sunday. Tyreek Hill, for example.

This just cost him a boatload of money as someone the Rams can depend on to protect Stafford's blindside. I only hope this was some PED issue and not some gambling, illicit drugs, or prostitutes okay maybe prostitutes would not be that bad.

Drunk or reckless driving is my guess. If it was spouse abuse we would know.
Just guessing here but if it were something driving think we would know as well.

I wonder if it is an in house behavioral type of issue.

My memory of Boom is that he did ok against average DE's/LB's, but got toasted by great ones. Add to that his injury history when we absolutely needed him to play and couldn't, was a reason why McSnead went out and got Big Whit.
