Jourdan at the Athletic had this in her story on this subject;

The coach said that Akers was physically OK and indicated that the situation was not football-related or performance-related as it pertained to the Rams’ run game as a whole.

Perhaps for OL help.. or maybe for another RB that's a bruiser. .

Was a A J Dillion fan from BC. He was a RB that I liked because his 5 tools.

Cam Akers is solid though. He is still very young t& has a lot of upside.I’m not going to predict his future or what is going on in his life.Do find it interesting & will keep up to date on his football/well being.

I'd say trade wise, best case scenario would be trading Akers and a 5th round pick to a team for a 10th rounder....
What's disturbing is that he is merely inactive for Sunday, doesnt open a roster spot. They call up a PS player, or sign one from elsewhere, who goes?

Out of all of the options for strengthening our RB room - what directs your attention to McCaffrey?
I'm not sure who all is available, but out of those who I know are, McCaffrey is the most talented, but also the most injury prone.

That is odd.

@OldSchool where did you get this quote from your post?

The coach said that Akers was physically OK and indicated that the situation was not football-related or performance-related as it pertained to the Rams’ run game as a whole.

“I would say it’s more like we’re dealing with things internally. I don’t know, exactly…these are kind of uncharted territories,” McVay said. “Out of respect for the situation, I want to keep it internal. You guys will have more information later on.”
FWIW, I copied and pasted from The Athletic. It was Jordan's piece.

Japan No?
Japan … Yes

However, in the movie Animal House, Bluto (John Belushi) was trying to get the guys motivated and urged them not to give up.

Bluto incorrectly referenced Germany with Pearl Harbor (Dean Faber had previously pointed out that Bluto had a 0.0 Grade-Point-Average).

Boone was going to correct Bluto but Otter stopped him, saying ‘let him go, he’s on a roll’.

FYI. I was able to recall that by memory, yet there are mornings that when I wake up, I’m not certain what day it is.

FWIW you should never have to explain it. Come on @Oregonram regardless of age, that reference is classic.

Plus when @Allen2McVay gets on a roll, just let him go.

This just smells like a trade for McCaffrey all over it.
I just don't see how we fit his contract. Not to mention his injury history. I don't see it happening. Could see Michel, Josh Jacobs or Kareem Hunt.

Kareem hunt is a pos, so I doubt he becomes a Ram. We had a chance to grab Michel and passed. Jacob's sounds intriguing. I don't question contracts anymore with the Rams, too many times we thought dudes were out of our price range and Demoff seems to make it work. I too think McCaff is too injury prone to bring in, but McVay was ok with rolling out this season with 3/4 of our rb room never playing a full season bc they are always injured.

When Animal House came out, I was in my freshman year at NYU. The legal drinking age in NY was eighteen, and I had gone to an all-male Catholic high school taught by Catholic Brothers (think priests with a bad attitude).

My grade-point-average dipped from a 3.85 in high school to a 2.9 in college. I can barely remember my sophomore year.

Swear the above is not an exaggeration.
