This didn't score many points against the Eagles, Saints, 49ers, and Jets. That's a lot of weeks to struggle and they were healthy then.
Jets Eagles 49ers - I blame the weather - Stafford wasn't as good this year in cold weather/snow/rain etc

Saints - they scored 30 points which is a very decent score

Hollywood Brown been injured for a year and a half....

Seems washed to me.

Darius Slayton has like a career high of 50 receptions.

Won't be worth the money he is going to want.
Only pass I'll give for Slayton is that he's played for some shitty QBs and offenses.

I'm with McVay: injuries and weather can't be excuses. Not if you want to win a Superbowl. Raise the standard.

I'm not buying the weather excuse at all. We were 10 yards away from scoring 29 against the Eagles in the playoffs in very severe weather conditions with the snow. So cold and rain aren't sufficient justifications for 20, 21, 12 and 19 points - Eagles, Saints, 9ers, Jets respectively from weeks 12-16.

BTW, they scored 21 points against the Saints. That would have been ranked 21st in the league if they scored 21 every game. That's not acceptable.

The way the team was designed - league's most expensive offense, least expensive defense - they were supposed to score closer to 27 points per game or more, get early leads, and allow the pass rush to get after the QB.

That didn't manifest and we shouldn't be ok with it because I seriously doubt that McVay is.

I saw the 2023 score not the 2024 score with the saints.

Like I said - Stafford did not do well this year with the cold weather. Not an excuse - just stating my observation.

He didn't play well in the second half against the Eagles once the snow started coming down until there were only 4 minutes left in the game and behind by 13 points when he started going into comeback mode.

McVay even stated that the field was a mess in the 49er game.

The Jets - you could see Stafford had issues with the weather. His passes were off that game.

The Saints game - they had a terrible first half and then scored 21 points in the second half. Then scored 44 points against Buffalo.

But you are also right that playing that poorly in cold weather does not cut it.

We need a couple more weapons.

How well did Hurts play in the snow?

Didn't realize Hollywood was hurt that long. Damn.

Slayton i disagree about though. 50 balls and 700 yards when Daniel Jones and Tommy devito are throwing to you is pretty good.

Stafford played his ass off in that snow game. He had one grievous error that contributed to losing, that shitty ass fumble on the handoff, but still he had us there in the moment to win the game in epic fashion at the end. He was a positive difference maker in that environment, which is no easy feat.

I have always stated that Hurts is overrated. He is a running QB who can throw.

You keep him in the pocket with less than 3 seconds and he sucks.

But Philadelphia has the best OL and routinely gives him 3 to 4 seconds to throw the ball.

The snow game did not allow him to maneuver well and it showed (other than the one running attempt over 40 yards - and that was a direct run at that).

Oh I agree he played his ass off but you could see he was limited a little bit in the second half until the last 4 minutes in comeback mode. He is definitely one of the best when it comes to comebacks.

Gee, I don't see it like that at all.

There is a Highlight Reel for Braden Fiske from last week; and two others for Jared Verse and Puka Nacua from the week before.

I’m glad. Just saw Stafford and Kupp back to back and the timing scared me a bit

Of course none of us can say for sure but, personally, I don't think Stafford's situation is going to be a big deal. I think the post-season press conference comments of McVay and Snead have been blown-out-of-proportion.

I believe the Rams and Stafford need and want each other; and will work-out something that makes Stafford happy, and reduces his current 2025 cap hit.

Limited? One series ended because of his fumble, which happens to any QB in weather like that and then the fumble by Williams. That was two 2nd half possessions that ended quickly. In two other possessions he drove them down the field one for a TD and the other that ended the game. I believe there may have been one 3 & out, but that's it.

So I wouldn't say he struggled. He threw for well over 300 yards...he just didn't get as much support in the run game and they just don't have explosive players that can give you a 3 play TD drive. Yet, he made Demarcus Robinson look like a game breaker and dropped a dime to a covered Nacua that almost set up the win.
