Not getting OBJ for 3m+. Not getting OBJ on a one year prove it.

Remember OBJ is tired of being underappreciated. Rams can sign him, but must show respect, not insult him.
Yeah that might be a bit too low but he probably isn’t back to full speed until 2023. Even if he comes back in December, after blowing out that knee twice, I would guess he is cautious for quite a while.

Understood. That’s why I said 3m + incentives. Maybe 500k bonus for each regular game he starts and $1m for each play off game he starts. I’m no contract guy but there needs to be some protection should OBJ be out for the full year.

AD now understands the value of having an elite HOF counterpart rusher next to him. He's never had that. T Lewis, Garrett, Hollins...those guys are just bodies. Just void fillers, just depth. They're not good players and they dont move the needle. AD needs elite talent around him to fully take advantage of the double and triple teams. That Super Bowl 2nd half performance was a thing of beauty from our DL. Von is a must sign 10000%. And OBJ too.

But its interesting that AD is already thinking this way. He achieved his ultimate dream and would be content retiring if we didn't sign Von or OBJ. That says a lot. It shows he really is on the verge of retirement and next year could be his last year. Hearing him talk like this I seriously think he only plays another 1-2 years.
Don't think AD is walking away from the $50+ million remaining on his contract. Too many future grandchildren and trust funds. After that it's a different story. AD will have to want to play. Rams would need to pay him, again, and still be a contender.

Stafford by the way is in the same boat. He's made an enormous amount of money already. He will get even more, but he will only play as long as he wants to and the team is winning.

The good news is that there is a straight line path to make this happen, starting with bringing back Miller and OBJ and extending Stafford. All these guys want to be paid, but just as much or more so want to have a chance to win it all and have fun on the way. The Rams' organization from Kroenke to Demoff to Snead and most of all McVay are all well aware of this.

Both the players and management clearly see that they can and will keep winning with these guys. That's why they're speaking out. AD needs Miller, Stafford needs OBJ, and vice versa. They all want to make it happen and roll with it. Kroenke wants just as much to cement his mega billion investment in the Rams and SoFI. Paying the players is peanuts compared with the success of the franchise in LA.

That's why this is the future of the Rams right now.

Imo Rams will then have a three, maybe four year window for more Super Bowl rings.

This would be the most Rams thing ever. Finally win the Superbowl again and instead of starting a dynasty we lose our 36-year-old genius head coach, and our best player retires early.... why oh why

Well we did fuck it up the last time we were here. And it's screwed up how we win it all and everyone's acting all sated like retirement is an option for everyone. I mean WTF.

Of course I don't think any of it is real. Not even AD. Guy like AD would lose his mind on the couch. But goddamn is it annoying.

Not getting Noteboom for 7
As well as he has played , I agree somebody is going to overpay to get him
My heart would not be broken if he departs.
The injury history is something I would rather not have at LT if possible.
And unless he has improved - his run blocking in space wasn't very good.
If there are other "Snoptions" then I would be all for them.
I have faith that McSnead will scour the earth to find our Backside protector.

Not a typo " Snoptions " is my new made up word.
Definition - A Snead approved option. :giggle: :helmet:

Retirements are not an option. Back to work. Do something even more extraordinary-- two in a row.
