That is fun.

My favorite part would be the puppy breath. It's completely unique to puppies... and they all have it. It sounds weird I know but I have always loved the smell of puppy breath.

Hope they don't test for it at work.

Aside from Golden Retreiver Puppy Attacks, think on something everyone can enjoy, and SHOULD enjoy before they die.

I have walked the north rim of the Grand Canyon., and that is another one for me. I can close my eyes and feel the vast chasm. Another might be looking down 7th Avenue toward Broadway and Times Square in Manhattan, and seeing the swarm of humanity...moving...hurting your eyes there are so many people. I don't know if that last one is a pleasure, exactly, but it's a picture that's hard to grasp unless you've seen it.

I can't do the Grand Canyon. I have a severe phobia of heights. But honestly, I'd recommend going to the Gateway Arch. You may think of only going to the top, and that's a possibility...but the main reason I've gone to the Arch is to look at the history behind it. Eero Saarinen's design, a design he never got to see, as he died in the middle of construction, was simple, yet elegant. It delves into Lewis and Clark's expedition - one that started in Missouri - and delves into the Native American aspect of things as well.

But if you like sports (and baseball, in particular), there's nothing that's quite like a Cardinals game. You will never see most team fans cheering a good play...by the opposing team. Where someone like Albert, who left under less than ideal circumstances, get a literal curtain call for a home run against us. Same with Griffey Jr.'s, I believe, 500th, with his dad in attendance. Cardinals fans may not always live up to the Greatest Fans in Baseball (I can talk about this idiot kid I snapped at at a Cardinals/Pirates game all day long with utter disgust at some of the things he was saying - and fuck his parents for being worn rugs with the way he obviously walked over them.), but I like to think that I try to live up to that, along with my folks.

Personally I like the sound of wind chimes during a Saturday morning breakfast.

It's not weird.

(Even though you do live in Florida).

I went up in that Arch. I hate heights... HATE EM. My knees wanted to give out on me as I walked around in the top of that thing. I had to keep myself from looking out of the windows up there or I would have lost it. I could not wait to climb back into that tiny ancient elevator/bucket thing for the slow ride back down!

Same here. That's why I mentioned the historical stuff, for those who have a severe phobia of heights.

What's cool on the more visited south rim of the Grand Canyon, is that there are below the waist guard rails. You can bend over and look down and see all of the hats of people who did exactly what you are doing....and then you feel the bottom of the canyon drawing you, farther...and farther....and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I've done a few of the aforementioned things.

I raised a litter of Labrador retriever puppies.

I've been to New York city many times. The most exhilarating things for me in NYC is looking off the top of the Empire State building and trying to fathom how humans created that site along with the sheer volume of concrete, steel and asphalt. That's not too mention how many layers of pipes, wires, and tunnels run beneath it. Then try to fathom what it takes to manage that place on a yearly basis. I'm in awe of the entire concept of that city.

@Memento 's baseball theme, being in old Yankee stadium in September, or being there for moments like Jeter's 3000 hit or an ARod grand slam. Its unforgettable.

But for more simple pleasures I'd say one of my favorites is watching my son play sports. AD moments in football when he has the center in one arm and tackles the running back with the other as they all crash to the ground. Then his smiles after practice and games when he tells me the details of the day.

My sons morning ritual of getting in my bed to do 'bed snuggles ' with our Mini Aussie Diesel.

Early morning deer hunts as the sun comes up to warm the earth and unveil the scenery that laid hidden in the darkness around me.

The warming sun on a crisp spring day along a beautiful trout stream or a fall afternoon with the leaves falling.

Dogs. Everyone should have one or two. The world would be a lot better if people treated each other like dogs treat people.

Simple pleasures. Reading the Sunday paper on the front porch with a cup of coffee, birds chirping in the background.

Walking the beach in bare feet.

A hug from my kid. I don't care how old she gets, that will never get old.

One of my favorite things is the beach.
Almost every day after work, thr wife and I head to the shore for as long ad possible.

When we first get there, we just settle in and meditate for 20 minutes. Then I either go for a quick run( under 2 miles) or a swim .

But that 20 minute meditation, just listening to the waves and seagulls is awesome
