How about 70s catch-phrases:

Aaaaayyyy!
Dy-no-mite!
Nanu-nanu!
Up your nose with a rubber hose
This is the big one! I’m coming to you, Elizabeth!
Kiss my grits!
10-4, good buddy
Good night, John Boy
Oof. I was born in the mid 80s, but I just discovered (yet another) reason I wasn't cool. My parents got me saying some those things and clearly none of the other kids knew wtf I was taking about.

All of us old folks thought you were very cool. So much better than the hip crowd! DYNO-MITE

Sorry kids, Silly Putty and Etch a Sketch were things from the '50s and early '60s.
I went for the ripped jeans look myself, wearing ripped corduroys underneath ripped jeans. Maybe even helped start it :sunglasses:.

They didn't make RC cars back then. So I made my own.

That is one of the worlds first home made RC cars.

Maybe a bit of an exaggeration. I was 10 at the time.

I’ve never been much of a fad person. I did own some terry cloth shorts though in the late 80’s.

I spent most of my time playing whiffle ball, constructing snap together models and drawing heroes from comic books.

Roller skating, at rinks and outside.

Trying to win radio call-in contests.

Head/wristbands - I wanted to be Bjorn Borg!
I was playing a lot of tennis through the 70's and 80's. I hated Jimmy Connors and it came back to haunt me in the 90's.

Me too. I used to play almost daily and watched it on tv almost every weekend. Bjorn Borg was a machine and it was mind blowing when McEnroe beat him.

I did too in the 80's. That was when tennis was at it's peak in many different ways.
