Wow! I didn't think you were that old. I'll add...

Recording songs off the radio because the DJs would announce their next set before playing them.

And Dr. Demento.
Born in ‘68!

I remember those cassette mix tapes with the DJ talking over the beginning/end end of the songs!

Looks like the other guys defined the Puka shell and the Clackers, so I'll do the Earth Shoes. They were created by a Yoga instructor who thought the normal shoeless walking style of humans was not only flat footed, but maybe the heel was lower than the front of the foot....The Earth Shoe had lowered heels and the front was raised slightly higher. I briefly had a pair, but they were so fugly!

WTF really? haha that's amazing! I wonder if they were comfortable? Did you own a pair?
They were a blast, like other dangerous toys from the 70's... lol
Haha I am old enough to remember cherry bombs and m-80's for 4th of July and their destructive power but by the 80's thing were already nerfed pretty good huh?

Yeah, I had a pair. I probably got teased by other kids for wearing them (old foggey shoes) and so they probably were comfortable. Maybe @Merlin can weigh in, cuz I think he still wears them.

Yes, cherry bombs and m-80's were available if you went down to Tijuana. We had a family friend that stuffed some Mexican made living room lamps/tables with illegal fireworks and sweated the border like drug mules with a ton of cocaine....lol . But the kids were able to go to the toy store and buy real bows and arrows with metal tips, Lawn Darts, Clackers, Easy Bake ovens, AND GI Joe with Kung Fu grip!

No those shoes were the previous generation. I was just a kid in the 70s so wore a lot of beach type wear. Shorts and tshirts, Jack's Surf Shop type stuff like Mr. Zog's.

I hit my teens in the 80s thank God. Was all punk (used army boots and leather jackets) for me until mid 80s when I moved into metal. Hell even then I kept the boots and leather jackets.

But I do love me some ladies from the 70s. Those older chicks didn't want anything to do with me but that didn't stop me from trying lol.

I remember a lot of those things

Corduroys
I think I had a clacker at one time, hit my head probably a few times
Definitely had a playing card in the spokes of my bycicle
What was that thing that that you could stretch and also put over the newspaper that would pick up the writing - also bounced well and other stuff
Super Balls
Tinker Toys
Etch a sketch
Thing that you could put a round thing of pictures in that you could see tourist trap stuff
That cylinder thing that you look into to see all kinds of designs when you twist it
I also wore windbreakers all the time - I was such a geek (well still am)
Also - my brother had a moped and I rode it frequently until I crashed it one day lol - he was so pissed

Some of these might be 60s type stuff too

oh and my sister had that baking thing

How many times did you see Jack Lord and Dano? :horns:

I actually saw them on multiple occasions. My Dad loved that show.

There were many times back then when my Dad would find out where they were filming... he would drive over to the area and just try to watch. I went with him for this more than once. Sometimes... we'd run into them filming Five O by accident. They would block off city blocks when they were filming sometimes.

5-O was one cool show man. I liked that one and Emergency as well. Think it was Emergency. The one with the intro where the medic shoots the shot into the air all action-like.

Had a friend who always wanted to be Ponch and John. He was older and always wanted to be Ponch. The prick. :laugh4:

Not sure on that one. Kaleidoscope?
That's the cylinder thing.

Okay just need someone to figure out what the thing is that had pictures on a wheel that you inserted into a viewing device that rotated one picture at a time when you pulled down the arm of the device

Do you remember what the cylinder thing and the pictures in a circle that would rotate once you pull down a button/tab
View Finder I believe.

Apparently it went by ViewMaster too.

Viewmaster, homey. They were great to take a vacation without leaving home...

How about 70s catch-phrases:

Aaaaayyyy!
Dy-no-mite!
Nanu-nanu!
Up your nose with a rubber hose
This is the big one! I’m coming to you, Elizabeth!
Kiss my grits!
10-4, good buddy
Good night, John Boy
