Puka can get deep and his game speed is much faster than his 40 time would indicate.1. Not sure why our offense starts off so slow every single game...I believe we've been down to begin every game this year. McVay needs to change up that script at the beginning of games or the O needs to play harder.
2. OLine Thoughts: I'm excited to see this OLine combo with Big Rob back at RT. Hopefully he'll be ready to go for the Eagles game this week. McClendon played admirably, I didn't notice him at all this game which probably means he did well. Hats off to the coaching staff for benching J.Jackson even though he's making a ton of money.
3. Our lack of speed on O is evident. Kupp's 69yd TD was awesome but we don't have any starting skill players that can break one. For next year, I'd love to add a big WR with speed or a speedy complement RB (like Justice Hill). I love Kyren Williams but he doesn't have the speed to break away and change a game.
4. My wishlist for our draft next year: a true CB1 and some speed on offense.
5. Interesting to see the playing time on defense. Looks like DWill is now CB1 and Speights getting more time too.
At least they tried something different this time. It would have worked too if Stafford hadn't got greedy. I want to see more of it in the future. Realize your D isn't great yet and go after the win instead of trying not to loose.Nothing frustrates me more than our offense near the end of the game with a lead. All you need are first downs! Stop giving the ball back to the opponent.
Happy to! I played semi-pro ball in Canada until I was 27. I was a DB and punt returner.gotta ask ya @Rhami
ex-baller you say

I would have been okay with a first down short pass then a run on second down and then try to get a first down with either a run or short pass on third down.At least they tried something different this time. Whittington did not run the 40 yard dash at the combine. Not sure about his pro day but the only stat I could find on his speed was around 4.5. He is not a burner. He can do everything else, however. With both Kupp and Puka back, not sure we well see much of Jordan Whittington anytime soon.People are complaining about the lack of speed, besides Tutu, at WR. Didn't our rookie WR, Jordan Whittington run a 4.42 40 on his Pro Day workout? At 6-feet, 1-inch, 202 pounds he has decent size, strength, agility, and speed. The last I heard about him he was recovering from a shoulder injury, which was deemed not too serious. Anyone know what is going on with Jordan at the moment? I would love to see him integrated as an X-factor as we intensify our campaign for post season play.

I have a couple of questions.I was just thinking about the speed thing and actually had a different take.
When all the guys are healthy and the line is playing well... the offense is fine. Puka was breaking tackles yesterday.. obviously feeling better.. Kupp had the long play.
I'm not against adding speed next season on O.. but I don't think it's the end of the world if they don't.
On the other hand.. a CB1 is a GLARING need.
Stafford saw 1 on 1 and knows Puka will do anything to catch a contested ball. Problem tho is he missed him. I don't want him to change the way he plays, but the thing is, in that situation, I don't think he really would have gotten us any more than if he dumps it to Kyren. Either way we are just going to run out the clock. It was an unnecessary risk.I would have been okay with a first down short pass then a run on second down and then try to get a first down with either a run or short pass on third down.
I do not understand why Stafford went deep on that throw. It didn't make sense.
I assume this was for someone else?I have a couple of questions.
What is your "baller" experience.
And why do you feel the need to post it in every thread title ?
BTW, welcome to the best LA Rams board.
He didn’t miss. CB made a hell of a play,Stafford saw 1 on 1 and knows Puka will do anything to catch a contested ball. Problem tho is he missed him. Yeah.. once Kyren came back. They were pretty consistent in the second half of the season. Not so much in the first half of the season. And last year the OL didn't have injury issues.
They averaged nearly 30 points/game from weeks 12-18. Hopefully, they can return to that.

Okay, your statement made me go back and look at the play again. Kyren stayed in to block. All three receivers were covered very well. Robinson was stationary a yard short of the 1st down and well covered. Stafford maybe could have got the ball to Kupp it also was well covered and 10 yards past the marker. Looks like Puka was the play call by McVay. Not many other choices for Stafford. I must have confused plays. He didn’t miss. CB made a hell of a play,
