Well, their defense was atrocious last year so any improvement they are going to strike up the band.Reading the play by play it sounds like the Rams did just fine, and the cowpie reporter/fanboi's fans are just being cowpie fans.
geeze snaz...
are you serious....
he was off a lot last year???
omg... you need to watch more football
absolutely strange take with no grounds in reality....
go rams
slo
He was not off "a lot" last year.He was off a lot last year, though. Wondering which Matthew Stafford we were gonna get every game he played.
he wants everything to be good and nothing to ever hurtHe was not off "a lot" last year.
Not sure what your expectations are of an NFL QB. Stafford was incredible.
This offense is going to always win the TOP. The D will make sure of that. Plus how many points do you think the D is going to score?
I'm going to predict the D will have more than 6 pick sixes.
Not expecting Garrett to come close to his record. I'll be happy with 12-16 and him showing up in the playoffs at least like how Verse did. If AD plays I'll be surprised if he gets over 8 sacks.I'm going to temper my expectations of the Defense this year. Even if AD returns.
- Mcduffie had a down year last year, does that continue?
- Garrett is great, but he's also aging, and chances he has another record breaking season might be tough
- AD is 35, even if he's 90% of who he used to be, he'll still be great, but that's tbd.
- Who's behind Mcduffie and Watson? If one of them goes down, our CBs aren't great.
I think our Defense will be great if everyone stays healthy and everyone plays to their abilities but as of right now it's all on paper.
Health is a question for any team. Rams have excellent depth on D front and backfield relative to the league.I'm going to temper my expectations of the Defense this year. Even if AD returns.

McDuffie’s “down” year would be a massive improvement over any of the Rams corners last year and we’re forgetting about Watson?
Floor for this D is top 10.
They already confirmed his hands are “intact”. Sounds like a burn issue.Have they released any info on Dedich injury? Do we have any idea how severe it is? He is a pretty important back up who actually fills in pretty well. Strange we have heard zero about it. Did he blow some fingers off or?
So you're asking if he pulled a Jason Pierre-Paul?Have they released any info on Dedich injury? Did he blow some fingers off...?
That's really good news. They already confirmed his hands are “intact”. Sounds like a burn issue.
Mcduffie didn't have a down year. He just had some noteworthy lowlights. Pff had him rated as a top ten corner.I'm going to temper my expectations of the Defense this year. Even if AD returns.

Everyone's feelings aside, the objective data show that the guy was tied for 3rd in the league for passes defensed. He was going up against #1 and #2 WRs. Now, he's our 3rd CB.Forbes is a playable corner. Its just like having a serviceable #2 receiver. When he has to be #1 then you're in trouble. If he's #2 and he's the guy you have to pick on over the course of a game, then the defense is in good shape.
With no pass rush and I believe the safties were injured as well.Everyone's feelings aside, the objective data show that the guy was tied for 3rd in the league for passes defensed. He was going up against #1 and #2 WRs. Now, he's our 3rd CB.
I'll take it!

Garrett is 29. I think he'll be fine. Edge rushers have been playing into their 30s lately. And we don't need 23 sacks from him. 13-15 is plenty.
If AD is the 4th best player on the defensive line then I'm still relieved. At worst he's Turner/Fiske insurance.
