I consider our backups to be in the bottom half of the league.

I want a backup that is in the top half of the league as far as backups go.

That's all I want.

McVay's never had a decent back-up. I consider Crapola to be just a bit behind decent. Never been that impressed with him.

3-0 might have been an exaggeration but compared to your sarcasms - its nothing.

Looking for Fergie to start this year. He's a very versatile guy...TE or Big WR behind Devontae,
I've always thought that Snead and McVay are looking for that Megatron type.
First it was Gerald Everett and now it's Ferguson

Back in the distant past, drafted QB's held a clipboard one or two years before they saw the field. There was good reason for that. I applaud the Rams for doing that with Bennett and Simpson.
There's been way too many forced to play right out of college and ruined because they weren't ready.

Brady talked about this. Especially with these college qbs bouncing around. They come to the League underdeveloped and nfl coordinators feel the need to progress them early for the sake of their jobs.

So, if Stafford goes down, you will sigh. Same goes for fans of Buffalo, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, New England, Baltimore, Denver, Jacksonville, Seattle, San Francisco, Tampa Bay, Dallas, NYG if THEIR Starters go down.

Is that really SAYING anything????
Which teams do we consider having decent backups? Off the top of my head, I'm not sure of any that I'm impressed with.

SF has a decent back-up

And some of the others have better back-ups than we do.

All I want from our back-ups is to go 500. Right now if Stafford goes down for 8 games, I see us going 1 7 unless we have 13 10 like games especially with our schedule.
The expectation should be that our defense holds teams to 10 points. If Stafford goes down, that unit will have to carry the day.

I agree but I will say this again - welcome back the Fisher days if that does happen where we pound the ball on the ground and hope that the defense holds them to 10 points or less.
