Our entire conversation has been me saying I believe he still can be fixed and you saying he can't. I'm genuinely curious where I moved the goal post.Moving the goal posts much?

Nope. It's been the same convo. I brought up Goff and Darnold only to point out that these are two more guys who everyone wrote off as busts at some point in their career, which is why I'm not assuming Richardson is a bust yet. So, again, a didn't move any post at all.Try again
You keep changing the conversation which began with a comparison to Sam Darnold

Okay that's fair. I still would like to see more of Richardson before I write him off and you don't. It's really that simple.Good grief, I give up, its a terrible comp
Richardson 8 starts in first 3 seasons
Darnold 38 starts in first 3 seasons
It's not true that Goff was written off as a bust. He played one season with Fisher and struggled. There was talk that he might be a bust, but no one writes off the #1 pick after one season. It's hyperbole to say he was.Nope. It's been the same convo. Unfortunately, there were many (not all) sportswriters who wrote off Jared Goff as a bust after his rookie season. He couldn’t outplay Case Keenum. It's not true that Goff was written off as a bust. There's no comparison between AR and Goff.
2023 by a country mile! This is why you think about grabbing the guy this year.
Quick question, though. What is the best draft the Rams have had in recent memory?
Thank you!2023 by a country mile!
There's no hyperbole. Rams fans probably were holding onto the chance that Goff was still capable, but the prevailing rumor all summer long was that Mcvay might want to go for Cousins. I say this as someone who was in the camp that Goff was gonna be just fine and I remember plenty of spirited conversations with fan bases who were convinced he was awful as well as national sports radio. My bad. Maybe I forgot that or dismissed those views. I thought writing him off after 7 starts was ridiculously foolish. There's no hyperbole. That's a good point. Bradford is a better example.Unfortunately, there were many (not all) sportswriters who wrote off Jared Goff as a bust after his rookie season. He couldn’t outplay Case Keenum.
Granted it was one year and under an NFL coach renowned for running a middle school offense.
AR has been in the league for several years and has yet to take the next step, which has been further compounded by his injury issues. Completely different scenarios.
AR may be more comparable to Sam Bradford who was limited from his full potential due to rotating OCs and an injury plagued career. AR never won ROY, so still different, but is a better comparison than Goff in my opinion.
Same here! I read the other guy's response though and he's right. Richardson is more similar to Bradford, although Bradford even did more than Richardson. I can totally agree that Richardson is on shaky ground, but I do still like the intrigue. My bad. Maybe I forgot that or dismissed those views. I went back to look at that draft and savored it like a favorite meal. Chef's kiss.Thank you!
And we didn't even have a 1st round draft pick that year. Moral of the story being that we can push the 2026 team towards a SB no matter what we do with the 1st round picks.
(I know you know this and this is not directed at you.)
Can't see any way he makes it to #13, but If Love is clearly the BPA on the Rams board I believe that they should take him.Tangentially related... if you believe as does Solak and many others that the RB draft class is pretty meh, do you take Love if available and turn Corum for some draft capital. I doubt you'd get a lot but maybe a 5th with possible change. You'd basically being paying two rounds for his services over two years.
