I dont think the Rams SB aspirations rely on their 1st round pick, regardless of the position they play
True as that may be, Delane or McCoy defending JSN would have had a big impact on the SheCocks offense. Outside of him and 1 catch from Shaheed and we have a very good chance of being in the superbowl. With a grain of salt obviously. I think the 1st round has a good chance to improve our team a fair amount. McSnead will certainly have the SheCocks on their mind when making the picks.

If Darnold can be fixed, I think AR can. Or at least I'm sure some team will be as delusional as me, potentially.
AR never played as good as Darnold did in college or in the pros for that matter (before Minnesota)

I'm not well versed on Darnold but I thought he was considered a bust pretty early on. Richardson has only started like 10 career games.
Darnold was on the JETS - that is a QB killer team.

But he got away early enough that he wasn't completely destroyed.

Yeah they suck for sure. Richardson is only 10 games in though. Goff was 7 games in when Mcvay got there. And he hadn't had any promising games by that point. Small sample size. I'd at least try it.

Darnold was pretty decent his first 2 years, then the wheels came off with tragic teams Jets/Carolina
Richardson starting only 10 games is why he's a bust

I’m not advocating bringing in Emanuel Wilson. I just wanted to mention that there were times last year when he looked much more explosive/effective than Josh Jacobs. I think this is a mistake by Green Bay depending on the contract he gets.

Can't see picking high enough next year to grab one of the franchise guys.
This is why you think about grabbing the guy this year.

Quick question, though. What is the best draft the Rams have had in recent memory?

Jared started 7 before Mcvay though. Way too early to say.
Colts have had a strong run game, good receiving talent, and a stable OL for years now. Shane Steichen is also a strong offensive mind. This year Jones in that brief stretch showed what that offense should look like with a QB who can simply distribute the ball. It was a real eye opener I think for the Colts front office.

The Rams meanwhile under Fish were a high school offense with all manner of holes and scheme issues. It was a total clusterfuck.

So I think the two situations are quite different. Richardson has three camps and three years under his belt as a pro. If some other team takes him in, whether it's by trade or even picking him up on waivers, he is going to need to show them he wants it and will do the work, and then at the least translate that to the field in preseason.

Crazy Dak and CeeDee still count for $130M against the cap next year in 27. Any guesses what that number will be now that their contracts are being reworked?

Maybe $160M?
I did a quick check of the Dallas Cowboys Over-the-Cap before it would be edited for the above restructures.

Before the restructures were reflected on OTC, the Top-10 2026 Cowboys Cap hits totaled $276M.
By Comparison, the Rams' 2026 Top-10 Cap hots totaled $181M.

That's a difference of $95M ... Big Difference.

Dude, Goff started 7 games of his rookie season, Richardson is going in to his 4th year and has only 8 starts, mostly poor performance. He's in bust catagory

Richardson was a project. We knew that the day he was drafted. He lost basically two years to injury right?

I agree with most of your last paragraph though. Whatever he goes next, he needs to see it as his last shot and work his tail off.
