True. But we'd be saying the same if we lose a playoff match up because we needed more reinforcements at receiver and corner.
Not quite the same. An OT going down could result in 9 going down and then we are completely fucked. A 3rd WR would hopefully play more, but I think we have 3 good CB's ATM.

They could. That's one valid argument. The flip side is, they could validly like him but also like other players in that range just as much, and therefore not be too concerned if they miss out on him.
Lot of talking heads suggesting that picks 15-80 don't have much different grades to them. Why not trade back if you don't grade the other receivers any differently - just how they'll be used.

I agree with you. I can see them drafting OT because I genuinely feel that everything is on the table, but I don't see an OT as the best use of the pick. Ideally, we resign McClendon, continue with AJ, and have a solid swing tackle who didn't cost a 1st-round pick on the bench.
Drafting a true Swing OT capable of flipping and jumping left to right is like finding a golden unicorn. If you can get a 80% of a swing OT you better take him first chance you get. An OL'er who can do the above usually can play four of the OL positions when needed. In addition going into game day with just 2 OL active back ups usually helps the ST's a bunch.

The above goes heavy into keeping your 38 plus yr old QB from being molested after 18 seasons ......would have to be at the top of Snead & McVay's objectives.

I am not even sure what I want at this point. There are a number of guys I really like that I think could help next year. While there are others that could have a clear path to start in 27' if they have to sit some this year.
Honestly I get it. It's like going to a restaurant, being pretty damn hungry, and being told you can only pick one thing really good to eat. :laugh1:

That used to be the sentiment about drafting DTs...but then came A.D., Turner, Fiske.
Well as someone said earlier and posted, Snead seems to get his preferred offensive lineman much later in the draft or pick them up as a UDFA. Considering how good our line turned out, I could see the Rams ignoring that position early.

The whole premise of the post is a joke, Glazer has nothing to offer.

At the press conference yesterday, the media asked Snead and McVay about whoever they pick at 13 needing to immediately contribute. Snead said that it will be hard for any rookie to immediately contribute on this team...

Hmmmmm...where have I heard this before?

I like how stealth the Rams are about who they are interested in. Unlike the Cowboys for example, whose owner is so desperate for attention, his mouth runs like a whippoorwill's ass.
If I was a prospect I'd tell Jerry to fill his tour bus with Cowboys cheerleaders and just send them to me.

True, but if you can't protect Stafford, it doesn't matter who's playing receiver. I personally hope they take a WR first, but I expect the offense would be much more vulnerable if AJ went down then if Davante did.

Got to give McSnead credit, draft day is always exciting and unpredictable for us.
