I have come to the realization that after the top 4 or 5 guys, there will not be a huge difference between a player who will will be there at 13, vs players that will be there at pick 30 or even 45.
I tend to agree with this though I think there's probably a top 8-9 in this draft.

Anyone else see this? Maybe I missed it elsewhere.

Report: OSU S Downs flagged with knee issues at combine … There are unconfirmed reports at this hour that star Ohio State S Caleb Downs was flagged at this past weekend’s scouting combine because of a knee issue diagnosed during the medical testing. According to the reports, Downs has a torn MCL as well as a degenerative ACL. The MCL issue by itself would not normally impact a player’s draft status, but the ACL condition may be more problematic. In the past, players have been able to play for years with that issue, but its hard to imagine it won’t have a significant impact on his final grade.

That's a damn bummer. One less player off that board before we pick.

I'm of the mind he was gonna slide a bit anyway because he's a box safety, but what a shame. Feel for him.

13.

Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

After finishing four points short of making the Super Bowl and with quarterback Matthew Stafford playing year-to-year at this point of his career, the Rams need to maximize their short-term window. Coach Sean McVay incorporated a lot of 12 and 13 personnel into his offense last season and showed a lot of creativity in deploying multiple tight ends. Sadiq serves as an extra receiver and would give the Rams a versatile gamebreaker they don't have at the position. And while he is known for his receiving (51 receptions for eight touchdowns last season), Sadiq is also a physical run blocker.

29.

Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee

If we're going strictly by talent, McCoy is a top-10 prospect in this class. But he hasn't played a game since 2024, missing all of last season after suffering an ACL tear in January 2025. We're still not sure where he's at in his recovery, as he did not participate in testing or drills at the combine. This gives the Rams -- who haven't drafted a corner in the first round since 2006 or before Day 3 since 2019 -- the potential to get a steal here. McCoy is an easy mover who has squeaky-clean technique. All eyes will be on Tennessee's pro day on March 31, when McCoy is expected to participate in a full workout.

Makes me think you either move up to that top 5 or you trade back. Of course it might be tough to trade back if other teams feel that same way. However, there is one position where there will be a significant difference between the caliber of players at 13 or say pick 20. That is OT, and maybe even OG, if a team really likes Ioane.

So an OL needy team like Detroit or the Chargers or Houston, those teams may want to move up for one of those top guys.

If so I move back get an extra top 80 pick, maybe an extra later round pick too. Maybe trade down twice. Get more swings to get more players. They may have to mortgage next yrs draft for a QB, so get quantity & quality by loading up on day 2 picks this year in a deep draft, but a draft that lacks blue chip guys.
I think it depends. I think Tyson and Tate are hands down the best receivers in this class. I think McCoy and Delane are hands down the best corners. At both of those position groups, I think it drops from "can easily be your number one" to "definitely a good compliment to a winning football team"

OSU S Downs knee issues remains unconfirmed … Almost a full 24 hours after the reports first appeared that star Ohio State S Caleb Downs was flagged at this past weekend’s scouting combine because of a knee issue diagnosed during the medical testing there has still been no confirmation from any major news site or NFL reporter. As a result, we’re going to take the report down and file it in the ‘misinformation’ file until there is further confirmation.

He also has us taking Ponds with our 2nd. Sign me up for this draft. Not sold on us taking Sadiq at 13 but McCoy at 29 and Ponds is the 2nd is felony grand theft.

If there is any way in the world to get RB Jeremiah Love via picks 13 and 29, i say DO it. Rare talent. Horrified of the Cardinals taking him.
I tend to think you're right... but I highly doubt they'd take Love at #3 overall.
I doubt he makes it past the Chiefs & Aints. Cowpokes might... but even they need CB help desperately.

I don't think Tate, Tyson or Lemon have done much to separate themselves from each other. It's more what flavor do you like. None would be ahead of Tet last year. Because of Tyson's injury hx I can see him going after Tate and Lemon unless some team picking Tyson is okay with the injury hx and sees Lemon as a slot only.

I like a lot of later receivers more, even if I don't think they should be as highly ranked. I just like the match of skills and where they'll be drafted later with their potential upside.

I don't like drafting 13 in this draft right now unless Delane makes it to us.

I think Tate and Tyson are in the same realm as Tet, but I do think Tet is better. Outside of the top 5 (I have Conception 4 and Cooper Jr 5) I'm not a fan of this class. I do like this corner class a lot. So much so that I'd be okay getting a corner at 29 as opposed to receiver. I reallylove Delane and McCoy, but I love Terrell, Johnson, Hood, and Ponds. And even after that I really like Cisse, Neal, Moore and Everette lol

Agree big drop off after top 9. It depends on FA but I’d rather move up than down with that R1.13 pick to get one of those top 9 players. Styles, Downs, Bailey would be transformational if one were available at R1.9/10.

I have a hard time convincing myself they're that transformational to trade draft capital for them.

I think Styles could do for us what Emannawori did for Seattle's D. Maybe more, as a guy who could blitz from anywhere, who could cover TE's, and who could stop the run sideline to sideline. He would make our D look fast as hell.

Add a quality starting CB in FA. Add another athletic rookie CB, and one of these athletic game changing safeties in the draft, and the D would be transformed.

I also agree with a few others on this board. Johnson has that Ramsey attitude on him, doesn’t mind the contact.

Kid still could improve with better coaching. Definitely my pick at 29. I’m getting nervous he won’t last that long.

Keep #29
Dangle Kyren Williams along with our #13 and a filler pick to both New Orleans and KC at #8 and #9

It’s five spots to grab one of the best players in the draft. It’s not crazy or irresponsible.

I can see that happening but I like other options over doing that and what the capital requirements would be to get him.
