Watch the change of direction skills. You'll see what's special about him. Crazy fluidity and agility for a guy who is 6'5" 245.
Agree. He looks very athletic. His Purdue tape is impressive. Menuch (SP?), McShay's buddy, had him as his #2 TE coming into the season. Just didnt get as much action with Ohio St due to so many other weapons

It’s actually a really good pick. They obviously really like the player. Rightly so.

It’s just surprising they’d go TE. It’s true they are draft for 2027. Which makes sense. We have no needs. We’re also gonna add an immediate vet visit trade - I’m convinced.

I will say this, my criticism of Klare is not based on watching him a ton. I didn't really invest too much time into TE's this draft cycle since we are kind of loaded there currently. My dislike is positional more then anything. Having TE near the bottom of the need list has colored my opinions.

One thing we should all be aware of is that when it comes to being a weapon across the middle in this offense it's not about raw speed. Kupp was never fast, Puka really isn't either. But they're all quick and have great instincts in the pattern plus being smooth movers.

I'm not sure why everyone is complaining now - by all accounts we got good value.
...
Klare looks like a pick where value and need converged.

Not by 'all accounts'.

I have been watching ESPN's coverage with Greenberg hosting and commentary/evaluation by Kiper, Riddick and McFarland.

Klare was literally the ONLY 2nd round selection they were less than complimentary about, suggesting he was a Reach.

Also have to push-back on the 'need' comment.

Parkinson, Ferguson, Higbee, Allen and Klare ... that's a LOT of Tight Ends.

The Rams played more Three-TE sets than any team in the NFL in 2025 but they still played it less than 50% of the time. They have 5 TEs right now (not even counting Redman). That's a LOT of Fucking Tight Ends!!!

Anyone expecting us to use a premium pick on a rookie to rely on this year doesn't know this regime very well.
If they want to add some speedy playmaker to the offense or some key addition to defense or STs, they will do it with veterans.

Mostly gave the not sure because I'm just not sure about the player cuz I don't know shit about him hahahahaha........ thought we should have gone another direction but aw well, TE it is!

There is only one on the field at a time in 13
I understand how that works. The Rams aren’t going to run 13(one WR) all year, and they shouldn’t. None of these TE’s are special pass catchers. The blocking is decent. Again though, not special.

If that’s the plan they should’ve traded up for an elite RB to run behind all these TE’s

Regardless of the personnel they focus on, We are going to regret going into the season with Nacua, Adams and JAG’s if that’s the plan.

The Rams felt their pass rush was good enough to sit on the CB’s we had. We know how that went.

The Draft is alot like Christmas
