I wouldn't be surprised if we used a mid-round pick for a vet player this weekend (expiring contract type). Maybe like a 4th or 5th next year.

If he gets past the Steelers at #53, he just might make it given the teams that select after them.

To trade up into the mid 40s would cost us: Pick 61 and 93, and in return we receive that team's pick 5th, possibly 6th round selction (around 150-160 most likely). Would you make that trade for Bernard? It feels a little heavy

Alternatively. We trade pick 61 and next year's 2nd. In return, we gain pick 45 and pick 115 this year. We draft Bernard and have picks 93 and 115 to take BPA at Center and OT. I would make that trade in a heartbeat, then trade up with the remaining picks for our returner to secure Kaden Wetjen well ahead of where he is listed on the consensus board

Good day for a WR selection with return ability.
Yeah. Can’t be understated. Whittington, Corum, Rivers? No.

Instead of throwing role players at the problem, stick a real returner there. As far as the game day roster goes and the numbers game, figure it out. Cut someone.

Specialists are important.

I'm am just as nervous about who we pick in the second round because I think now that we've covered backup quarterback, we need to start building on the 2026 Rams.
I think a third talented wide receiver would put us over the top on offense. Then we can use all the rest of the picks on offensive tackles and linebackers who can cover receivers. :) Unless a talented tight end falls.

Starting to think they address OL in rds 6 & 7, with an approach of hoping thet find a project, otherwise they may go get a guy during training camp with a trade or at cut down, like they did with Dotson.

So focusing on these positions, hoping one or two of these guys might get taken below. Thinking they might trade back into rd 4 from 93 to pick up an extra 5th... unless they move up in rd 2 for one of the best WRs left. Could do a Fiske like move. Next yrs 2 and this yrs 2, to move into the 40's. Maybe we can get back a late pick.

WR. (Guessing Boston long gone before we can get him without a trade up)

I wouldn't trade up for Bernard as I like Stribling just as much.

Don't forget Gennings Dunker amongst those. I'd be very happy if he were our second round selection because I think he could move to center or, at the very least, stay at guard. Chase Bisontis and Emmanuel Pregnon are also potential options, although they're more purely guards.

Honestly? I'd like to trade up for Jacob Rodriguez. Just three years from now people will be stunned that he wasn't a first round pick. Just a difference maker.
He makes a lot of plays, but the 13.9% missed tackle rate I read somewhere is very concerning.
