Locked away, unloaded, legally registered, he reported it to TSA as one would be required to do. He did everything right - except look up New York State law which has more stringent laws on guns than other states. I’m not quite ready to call this guy a dumbass - it’s a paperwork issue and the case will totally be dismissed.

It’s not common to carry a firearm onto a plane. Unless you have more information, the only fact in the statement “Locked away, unloaded, legally registered, he reported it to TSA” the report validates is it was registered in Wisconsin.

Yikes! I remember him well; and thought he would be a quality NFL linebacker ... I was wrong.

1st round pick (fastest LB in the 2016 draft class) by the Jets under Todd Bowles and started for most of his first three seasons. His best game was Game 1 of the 2018 Season ... a 48-17 Jets victory, if you can believe it.

Jets' QB was rookie Sam Darnold, who threw a pick-six on the first pass of his career. After that, Darnold and the Jets dominated the Lions in Detroit; and Daron Lee had two interceptions, including his own pick-six ... against the 2025 NFL MVP!

Wow! Just think, seven plus yrs later, Darnold is ready to play in a SB, Stafford wins the MVP award, and this guy murders his girlfriend. Life is some weird journey.

Maybe fall out from this arrest and that trade?

So ... Raheem Morris (Head Coach), Terry Fontenot (GM) and Ryan Pace (VP of Football Ops / Player Personnel) are all gone ... That's the Brain-Trust that signed Kirk Cousins to a 4-year / $180M contract, then drafted Michael Penix six weeks later with the 8th overall pick and, last year, traded away their 2026 #1 for a player who was just arrested on some serious charges.

ALL GONE ... What Happens?

Often, that would spell "Re-Build" because an entirely new Front Office and Coaching Staff are Not tied to players brought in by a failed regime. However, that is NOT likely to happen here.

For one thing, the owner is 117 years old (estimate ... didn't look it up) and wants (needs) to win Yesterday.
The Team may be in the weakest division in the NFL. Heck, they were tied for 1st place at 8-9!
And, the roster has a lot of talent that is mostly young.

I don't expect anything close to a re-build but the New Brain-Trust could decide to move (not give-away) some young pieces for draft capital and/or new (talented) faces ... Shake It Up a little bit ... let the talent that remains know there is a new sheriff in town, and things are changing.

If some ROD members want trades ... well ... you need interested, motivated trade partners. I'm Not Saying ...
