He played in the slot, but like 40 percent of his snaps. Nacua is a matchup hunter. I wouldn't put him exclusively at any spot. But you'll need other guys who can also move around if you want to move Nacua. And Mcvay definitely loves moving around his receivers.Nacua was in the slot considerably more last season. So I think it's a perfectly reasonable assumption that will be his role in 2026.
There are many options at wideout in this class. In fact there will probably be a wideout among the ones who slot from let's say 10-40 who ends up being elite at this level.
Nothing against Lemon, who is a fine wideout. But he's gonna be a slot in the NFL and there are options with upside who project better in the role we will need from them.
Agreed. His size was his only knock. I want not expecting him to come in at right around where plenty of other corners play.Ponds is a 2nd round lock now IMO. May even sneak into bottom of 1st. Dude is a baller and with that arm length, he's essentially taller where he needs to be.

Interesting. Love is on that list.
At this rate, corners are performing so well that I'm starting not to want one at 13. There's like 6 guys who I think can be #1 on a good team.CB Chris Johnson looks very smooth in the drills and posted a 4.4 40. Very impressive. Could be a target at 29 unless he moves up higher than that. I know some here were touting him weeks ago. The dude looks like a player as his numbers & drills match the tape.

I’m not going near this guy in the 1rst round.Well if he has good medicals (which are the most important thing for him at the Combine) and then kills his pro day he'll be ok as draft boards go. But I'm already leery of that injury history with him so not a fan of that decision.
Yes, exactly. And if the Rams believe Lemon is the one elite guy, take him. There are only so many Pro Bowl and All Pro caliber players in the Draft. If the Rams think Lemon is that guy, they shouldn't arbitrarily restrict themselves. There are many options at wideout in this class. Based on personal experience I can say that there is no way a doctor or anybody else can determine what you will be as a potential 1rst round pick. Fully healed still produces scar tissue. Why would this kid elect not to participate in the combine? Can teams have him run all the drills at his pro day... 40 times, 3-cone, etc? To me this sounds like his agent telling him he has only one way to go if he participates in the combine and that is DOWN, since he is currently the #1 CB coming out IF he is healthy and he should be since it's been over a year since his injury. And his injury doesn't scare me much as long as he checks out. If the Rams get 4-5 good years out of him... I'm ok with that. Can't count on much more than that anyway. There are very few Aaron Donald's out there, in terms of careers and contracts.
Replace Lemon with Kenyon Sadiq or Omar Cooper Jr. and I'm right there with you.I'm starting to like Makai Lemon at 13 and Chris Johnson at 29.
Sadiq would be interesting actuallyReplace Lemon with Kenyon Sadiq or Omar Cooper Jr. and I'm right there with you.
