Wow, back in the WS. So cool. Hard to believe that the last time was during the epic 1-15 Spags failure

What? That was an awesome year. We got Bradford because of that record.
Yup.
What a year. Won only 1 game thanks to playing an equally terrible team who had awful QB play at the time. I wonder what happened to that guy

So close to being the second 0-16 team. But we had to be the first 0-16 team to lose that distinction. Only Rams fans will remember that 1-15 season. No one else will. Kinda like that Tin Cup movie when she tells Kevin Kostner "Years from now no one will remember the winner. But everyone will remember that 12".

was reading about Soto on Wiki...

In Game 1 of the World Series, Soto hit a home run off Astros' ace Gerrit Cole to start the fourth inning and became the fourth youngest player in MLB history to ever hit a home run in a World Series.[35] Game 3 of the World Series fell on October 25, Soto's 21st birthday, fulfilling an approximately 10-year-old prediction made by Soto's father who said that Soto would play in the World Series on his birthday.

Guess we share the same birthday!!

Game 1 of the 2024 WS is on October 25!
The Fathers prediction would have been much more of a shock, If Sotos’ birthday wasn’t in late October

I was, more or less, pointing out the fact that we share the same birthday ( Along with Pablo Picasso, Geoffery Chaucer and Katy Perry)

Say what you will but I gotta love Nasty Nestor Cortes. Trying to make the World Series roster as a LH bullpen arm. The guy is certainly risking free agent money to play....my bet is Marcus Stroman is the spot he takes. I would rather have 12 pitchers and 14 hitters than 13 and 13. Particularly with the way Schmidt and Gil have been pitching.

A ring and year off is better than no ring

Yankees were exposed as frauds once again.
They were outclassed and beaten by the better team, so I take nothing away from the Dodgers.
Losing sucks no matter what but the pathetic display they put on year after year is just disheartening.
They couldn’t have had an easier road to the WS than what they had this year. And still struggled to get there. Mindless errors, little league base running mistakes, questionable pitching decisions and of course inexplicable batting slumps by key members.

I think this loss is going to light a fire under these guys.

There were so many times when the cameras were showing the team celebrating a scored run, yet Judge still wasn’t happy.
You can tell he was extremely disappointed in himself for his own lack of contributions.

Losing the World Series feels worse than not getting there at all.

Unfortunately, it will be the opposite. The dust will clear, and Cashman will take a bow that they got to the World Series, he'll sell it that it's another step forward in "the process"

I was really worried after being down 5 runs that you would win the game and get such momentum that you go into LA and win 4 straight. Your team still scares me.

And like I said before the series started - I wouldn't be surprised by any outcome since the Dodgers are such a freaky team.

Hope you're wrong. As much as I dislike the Evil Empire, I absolutely love the grandeur that is a Dodgers/Yankme World Series. I want more.

I get this post to its core. This was a Red Sox life prior to 2004 and its now showing its head again the last 6 years. Your team made the WS and your still pissed which a lot of folks might not understand. Im very sincere is what I am about to say. You should watch the Comeback on Netflix. We all no how it ends but episode 2 and the end of episode 1 take you behind the scenes on how they built the team and how there only focus was on winning the WS. Nothing else matters expect winning the championship.

Boston for years just threw money at enough players to make the playoffs and wondered why they had holes in their roster come playoff time.

Watching Theo discuss the types of conversations leadership had about what they need to win a championship is insightful. After watching it seems like maybe 2 teams today are as focused as they were to win. Those team would be the Dodgers and maybe the Phillies.

If your a baseball fan, episode 1 and 2 are worth a watch....episode 3 sucked so dont bother.
