Maybe he pissed off McVay, outside the locker room.....
Just wondering....
When the Rams made the Jones trade, there were dozens of posts asking the simple question of Why; and many of us thought there might be a good reason and really wanted to know because it was a terrible, give-away-trade of the only competent ILB on the roster.

I still think ... HOPE ... the Rams had a good reason to dump Jones ... AND I hope it comes-out one day.

Well, if he was still on the roster, the Rams would be over the cap. Just one little piece of info that could have played a part.

Rams still play them twice, could be 2 career games.....
So the Titans get a 4th round pick and a player while all the Rams could muster was a pick swap. Unreal
And then people wonder why we say Snead sucks at getting value. Another reason we shouldn't even entertain trading Kupp....smh

Fuck That. Think about this.

The Rams give-away Jones for a late round pick-swap.

Two months later, the Titans, GET a good veteran ILB (better than what the Rams currently have at ILB); AND a 4th Round Draft Choice!

I love McVay and really like Snead; and I feel fortunate the Rams have them but the Jones decision and deal was Absolutely Horrible.
Snead got bent over and took it dry. He sucks at getting value. Someone please pass this along to him as if he'll care. Dammit Snead, get us some fuckin value one of these days! :laugh1::weary:

I asked for Jeffrey Simmons months ago ....Fiske Simmons turner nuts with verse and young that's solid corners would level up even if so so but just need an adequate MLB. I'd love that trade more than anything

Was also the guy who got 2 1st round picks, 2 2nd round picks and a bunch of players for Russell Wilson
Yes instead of being taken advantage of he took advantage of another bad GM who the new owners quietly escorted out of the building. He did good on that trade and horribly on another one and bad on 2 contracts, Adams and Wilson's last one.

So what? Keep an aging, significant recent injury history, and $30 mil. player on next year's roster b/c we can't get value?

Think we are better off seeing how he looks coming off of injury as he was looking awesome before it. What's the rush?
I get that perspective. OTOH, let's say they've decided to move on from him for the '25 season as part of their internal strategy. Is it better to get value for him now at the trade deadline or wait until the offseason?

If someone gives you enough now, it's probably better to clear the '25 books immediately especially if you can leverage a contender wanting a final piece to put them over the top. The calculus would be different if they were 4-2 instead of 2-4.
