Makes me wonder if it’s a ruse to start an early run on OL so more DL drop…
But is that even necessary? It's already reported that this draft will likely have 20+ offensive players going in the 1st round and only 6 or 7 true defensive 1st rounders. There is only 1 worthy DL to drop (Murphy) and arguably Newton.

A slight trade back (Dallas? Green Bay?) to get Newton and pick up an extra top 120 pick would be nice.

I think there's a chance that they are pissed it leaked to Allbright. This reddit thing is just a roundabout way to jokingly address it and try to dismiss.
I like this theory. Very possible. Rams run a tight ship but making calls to move up each team you call is a leak risk.
I feel our target truly is Latu, Turner or Verse and we are drumming up what we can to have one of them fall to us. or fall enough for a trade up with a partner a relationship has already been soft established
Way the Rams are I am sure they have targets at multiple positions and a plan for each possibility. I would love to see their priority list though yeah.

Russini who I get people can take or leave cause what she gets from GM's is more boilerplatey (she's at least owned that she's been lied to before to help draft strategy) said the other day that you don't get intel on the team you're talking to, you get that team to tell you what other teams are doing.

Makes sense that a guy like Allbright who covers Denver (but well connected in the league and especially AFC West) would get from a source in Denver what Rams had called about.

Gotta say, I just don't see this issue of guys falling being a thing. Turner to ATL is strong. (there's a chance they go Murphy). But if they go Turner, I see where Murphy, Arnold, and Mitchell go off the board but having really hard time seeing where Latu or Verse go before us.

Where are these guys getting picked exactly and by whom before us??

BTW, I could see us trying to leapfrog Cinn for Murphy. Think he's a great fit for them.
That's fine, views are perceived wherever they subscribe their information sources from.

There is for sure disinformation campaigns going on right now and Sean, Snead, and the crew have been together a long enough time to not only work on these but be on the same page with 2-3 different scenarios that happen and what the course of action is down that particular path.

Personally I've seen over the years how they can match BPA to a part of the draft with a position of need, or damn near it, and build the roster.

There is two positions that have blue chip talent that match with where we are drafting the top two picks and where those two picks are our two BPA and position of need is about in that area, even with a bit of a trade down scenario to build a bit of value. THose two positions groups are Edge and DT.

Personally I feel the drop off from the top Edge players after the first 3 is significant compared to the drop off of the top two DT players, in which I feel we'll targeting a Edge player and they have to be comfortable with at least 2 of the 3 Edges at the top of this draft.

If they can increase the chances of having a 'preferred' candidate drop to them with a disinformation campaign why wouldn't a tenured FO staff strategize, create, and promote one o many outlets and sources?

I'm thinking the %'s of being a betting Champion lean towards that play as well.

Question: If we end up taking Gabriel Murphy, EDGE, UCLA, would it be prudent to also take his identical twin brother (and fellow UCLA EDGE prospect), Grayson, for spare parts?

I like Grayson better from the 5 minutes I've spent on both!

I get that... but it is strange that a redditor is on their radar. How did he first get on there? They're really busy guys right now, so are the scouts...

I have no doubt they have an intern or someone scouting online but why this out of all the things to mention. How did this get to them?

You sir are no longer allowed to hypothesize until after the draft.
