Houston Texans claimed Edge Myjai Sanders who was waived by AZ.
That's OK, Desmond King was was just cut and I wouldn't mind the Rams claiming him. Could be the Deion Kendrick Replacement, I know at the beginning of the year some people here on the forums were tempted to pick him up

Saw this on King

2022 - 62% catch rate allowed, 102.1 passer rating allowed on 50 targets

2021 - 67.6% catch rate allowed, 100.5 passer rating allowed on 71 targets

2020 - 65.2% catch rate allowed, 96.1 passer rating allowed on 69 targets

2019 - 71.9% catch rate allowed, 126.8 passer rating allowed on 64 targets

Of course these Steeler fans also blame everything on their OC and don't think their coaches can actually coach anybody up. He didn't get much in the way of snaps with the Steelers this year it seems, in other words he had 1 snap in week 5 and that was his only snap of the regular season.

Have to think King would help our depth. He is a marginal corner but experience on the depth chart is nice to have.

Last DB we got from Steelers (Witherspoon) seems to be working out well. Lol. I think King wouldn't hurt and be another low risk High Reward.

Nice information Oldschool.

So we know what King brings, which is not much more than a warm body.

I’d rather see what Jolly can bring, if called upon.

I HATE how the Rams love tiny fucking corners. Good God. We aren't playing the high school JV team.

It's more a side effect of where they have been drafting I think. They've tried talented but raw in Rochell, and it didn't go too well. The guys who have actual cover skills have worked a lot better, though where they pick those guys have holes in their game. Durant is small and hates tackling, Kendrick lacks wheels, Long didn't have enough dog in him, etc.

The Rams are definitely looking around. And they finally have some draft picks to burn again after the Matthew Stafford trade, including their own selections in the first three rounds. A couple things have happened here that make it viable for the Rams to be buyers. First, they’ve found traction with two young wideouts in Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell, which essentially removes the need to go hunting for a wideout in the next draft (which seemed likely until the aforementioned pair surfaced as reliable assets). Second, defensive coordinator Raheem Morris has the Rams' young core ahead of schedule. Perhaps unexpectedly, the Rams have a better window here than anticipated, one that suggests they can still take advantage of the remaining juice in Stafford and defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

They also have two additional games to measure, facing the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys before the deadline. If they emerge 5-3 after the next two, I wouldn’t rule out another call on Burns, who the Rams chased last year to the point of offering two first-round picks (and a third). With another year of Burns burned off and the extension that would be required, that price would be cheaper this time around. Don’t count the Rams out of a Burns pursuit.

These writers can’t math. This move would put the Rams over the cap by $9M. Who would we move to create the savings? The only two pieces we could move are Higbee and Boom. I wouldn’t move Higbee and nobody is overpaying for Boom.

Rams increase the draft picks sent to also send boom. Wouldn't be the first time we or other teams have done that kind of thing.

Panthers are likely to ask for 3 1sts since they would also have to eat part of Burns’ contract this year and be saddled with Boom for another year. I just can’t see Snead doing that.

If we go back to the off season, the Rams (Snead & Demoff) said this was going to be a "quiet year". Remodeling. Everybody and their brother said, the Rams were writing 2023 off in order to make another SB run in 2024. So what's changed? The kids are playing better than anybody (including management) expected? The acquisition of Burns is going to make them SB contenders in 2023? Sure an acquisition like that would help in 2024 too IF they signed him long term or franchised him in 2024. But Young is already proving to be a force at OLB and they still have Mathis and Hampton to develop. It's easy for fans to say, "none of those two are going to be good OLBs" but that's bullshit. It's not necessarily wrong, but it's unforseen at this point. Plus, they will have other needs come 2024. Like OL, a C or LT, the latter which could be had in the first round. What is better, long term? Trading away multiple picks for a guy you may not be able to sign long term or getting to the playoffs and exposing the youngsters to valuable experience now to benefit the team in 2024? Then totally solidifying the OL in 2024 to dominate defenses with the skill guys already on the roster. Hey, anything can happen and they might go for Burns but I'm hoping they stick to their guns and create a roster that will strongly contend for a Lombardi in 2024, 2025 and 2026. JMHO.

Rams currently have approximately 7.5 mill in cap space per Sportrac. Burns salary is 16 mill or 940k per game. If they trade him to the Rams with 9 games left, it would require 8.5 mill of cap space. I dont think it would require much to find 1 mill in cap space. Heck, if the deal is sweet enough Carolina could even pay some of the remaining salary

Trading Boom would be more than double the dead cap hit of merely acquiring Burns
