Per Mike Greenberg. (nothing in this tweet about Taylor, but Bears related)

He compares Justin Fields to this point in Allen and Hurts career.

I like Fields and if he can stay healthy while running the football he'll be dangerous but I need to see him be great in the passing game first before I'll crown him the next big thing. Bears seem committed to surrounding him with talent so we'll see.

Course, I know a lot of Bears fans and most of them have this weird aversion to being great on offense if it means not being great on defense. Going to be weird watching them fight their nature if Bears become an offensive team. They were so pissed when they traded away Roquan last season. Bear fans are weird, if you give them an awesome linebacker to drool over they can accept the rest of their team being substandard.

I guess it was fairly simple to see what us fans have known all along

Why oh why did McVay keep him on the team last year for as long as he did

The one really big mistake McVay made his entire term with the Rams

Stafford got hurt because of Evans

Unfortunately, the line from the report about Bobby Evans release that sticks with me is ...
"2019 third round pick"

Demby was even worse.

Demby was a sixth round pick. That’s nothing. We could’ve had Maxx Crosby with the third that Bobby Evans was taken with. Hell, Ben Powers (an Oklahoma guard who was drafted by the Ravens, now signed to a huge contract with the Broncos) had a better pro career than Evans did, much like Tony Pollard (the other Memphis running back) had a better career than Darrell Henderson. Imagine a third round of Crosby, Pollard, and Powers, instead of Long, Henderson and Evans. We got lucky with Grizzly Gaines in the fourth round (and please, if you have money next offseason, please re-sign him, McSnead.) and Nick Scott in the seventh; we had an awful 2019 draft otherwise.
