I actually have thought that since it was reported he was available the restucture though causes doubt. Or we plucking plan "B" Howard right off the dolphins squad lol
Maybe the Vikings eat this years contract for the Rams first two picks this year and first two mext year plus a player.:quiet:

Love the idea, but the reality is that he had 18.5 sacks last year, has a dead cap hit of 12.7 mill & 3 more years on the contract at roughly 13 mill per (all non guaranteed) Basically makes him untradeable unless they got bowled over.
Also, with trading away Mack, he's the man in Chi-town now
I kinda think there’s a good chance Chicago views it differently. Maybe not.

Since there's no news so far about FAs lately, what do you guys think the WR from Kentucky, Wen'Dale Robinson? Looks like a baller at that WR position.

Well our new OC seemed to do a great job scheming him up in that offense last year. Curious whether the Rams have him targeted.

Yes another good point.... guessing his transition into the playbook wouldn't be as bad since he essentially had some exposure to what a McVay offense is like.

Aw dammit, I saw his college info said he was 185.....damn liars lol
Still pretty light and tbh it depends on the frame. But if he hasn't put any weight on at an SEC school that's cause for caution IMO.

Yes light but if the weight was correct from the college info, I thought him getting to the 190s wouldn't be so bad. Yes frame does make a difference. What I like from this guy was how elusive he was in all his highlights.

Yeah he's skilled I'm just nervous because I've seen from 175 to 185 and he looks small. We just took one of those type of guys added to that I don't think WR is really a draft need and this guys projected to go in the first two rounds so not sure we should even consider the possibility of getting him.

Yeah I hear you, more so thinking if he dropped. I highly doubt we'd have a chance at him but we all know McVay always gets a WR in the draft. Guess it also depends on what remaining moves we make in FA. I also like this WR Alec Pierce from Cincinnati....much bigger and looks good in his highlights. I'll also throw another one out there, Tyler Badie (RB Mizzou).

I like the guy Jourdan had us taking in a mock, James Cook RB Georgia. I could see McVay spending a 2nd or 3rd every other year on an RB. Hendo is going into the last year of his rookie deal and can't stay health. Funk has never been healthy in his career unfortunately and we have Akers who looked different coming back from injury though it was an amazingly short recovery.

Yeah I can definitely see us taking a RB for sure, especially with all the injuries we had. Be interesting to see who falls as teams seem to wait awhile before grabbing some. Too bad Spiller won't be there lol

Taboo looked great in college. It’s so difficult to translate the little guts skill set to the NFL where everyone is bigger and faster. I’d rather they don’t screw around with that again.

Tutu made even less sense when you realize Stafford was 27th in deep ball accuracy. He likes guys like ARob. So I hope Snead is done experimenting with early draft picks

Clowney is asking for more than Wagner right now.

It’s possible that after the draft many teams fill needs and allow some vets to shake loose or are willing to trade excess.

It’s also possible that after the draft players like Wagner, Clowney,etc,.. have different levels of interest than pre-draft. Some teams may suddenly show interest after not filling a need while others may have less interest.

Then there is always the chance the Rams wait until the trade deadline.
Wait until the trade deadline? NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Are you insane? Some of us can't wait that long! I'm hanging on for dear life trying to make it to the draft and you're casually dropping the trade deadline scenario. Now I got that noodling around my head. Thanks alot!

Remember Rams are playing chess while most others are playing checkers. Deadlines, cap space, draft picks, etc are all managed differently by the Rams. Question the results not the method. Recently the results have been phenomenal but the method has been unpredictable.

I'm with you on RB. It's been a constant source of frustration since Gurley's knee fell apart. We basically just won a title with the pass game but going forward I am sure the Rams want to improve that phase of their offense for better potency.

I realize McVay loves his wideouts. But both RB and TE have room to benefit this team more IMO. TE in particular down the road and we know the Rams look at their roster ahead and have to be concerned with the TE group. Now maybe they really like one or more of their depth, but that wouldn't keep me from taking a big TE this year knowing he would benefit us the following year. And RB benefits us immediately so that has to be in play for the offense.

In fact I'd say that this year maybe McVay steers clear of wideouts given that he's added a stud like Robinson to the group. Kupp > Robinson > competition seems really healthy to me with Jefferson, Skow, Harris, and Tutu all in the pipeline. That room is ready to go IMO. It's TE and RB where things look a little more dicey.
