"Does anyone want Jimmy? Anyone? Hello!"

~John Lynch
Or maybe it's a combo.

Could be that SF isn't willing to let Jimmy G go for nothing in light of their tepid belief in Trey Lance... even if that only means he needs more time to be the guy they drafted.

Seems to be that they'll deal Jimmy and move on, but without value, they'll just hold on to him for another year and be better with him than without him.

I dunno. Honestly, I just want us to beat them twice and for them to miss the playoffs. Beyond that... idc
If Matt Ryan only costs a 3rd round pick, how can Garopolo be worth a 1st rounder?? Insanity

I'm trying to understand how this makes sense. The falcons ate that 40 mil in exchange for 9 mil in cap relief this year? Clearly I had that backwards if the reporter has it correct. I just can't get my mind wrapped around that logic.

I could get where the donkeys ate 9 mil of Von's salary in exchange for a couple picks. But eating 40 mil in exchange for a 3rd? That sounds backasswards.
Seems insane, they had a chance to get a QB last year who would have been better than anyone coming out this year.

I can’t imagine they thought they had a chance at Watson with their roster. Why piss off the guy who is bridging you to your next franchise guy???

Or hold onto him into camp because there are often a camp injury that makes an emergency QB a critical need for a contender.

That's what happened with Philly when they signed Sam Bradford.

I think it was right after Bridgewater went down with that grisly knee injury and they shipped a first to Philly for him when the league hadn't shown really any interest in Bradford beyond being an expensive backup QB.

One bad injury later and viola... 1st rounder.

I think the whiners should sign colin crapernick. I'd like Colin to meet Aarond Donald as he's looking up at the sky.

So... I went to therams.com and looked at their free agent tracker.

Something VERY strange happened.

It started to load and the first picture on the "agreed to terms with the Rams" area was... Stephon Gilmore. It quickly (few milliseconds) resolved to what's shown. I tried to reload the page and for 2 or 3 more tries, it would do that.

I know what Gilmore looks like and i only had the ROD and therams.com tabs open. And I can read...

So, either I'm so exhausted I'm hallucinating, therams.com web team has this stuff ready to go for a ton of players just in case or... something's happening and they got it ready to post, but maybe accidentally uploaded it prior to any announcement and then pulled it down, but the page drawing wasn't fully cached on the server and for a brief few milliseconds sent out the old info?...

I was probably seeing things, but...

I see women from the Booty and Boobie threads in my dreams. You see Stephon Gilmore.

It's cool. No judgements. Heck, your dreams are more likely to happen than mine. Damn It!

Pretty sure you cant move dead cap (signing bonus/restructure etc)to another team, since that money was paid out previously. The only $$ that can be moved is current bonus monies etc

I suppose I get it. Still doesn't make much sense to me but neither does the whole cap manipulation thingy.
