Is Tretter a 'run-mauler'? I thought pass-blocking was his strength.

Not sure either Allen or Tretter are ideal at guard.
I'm only saying that cuz he blocked for Chubb. More than anything I'm just spewing out random shit for the hell of it since I'm waiting for the Rams to just sign Von Miller lol.... Bet you it works on Madden though hahaha

This could be big for them not signing Miller now. Do they have the money or need an edge now? Are they signing Gregory because they know Von is going back to Rams? Lets hope so

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars are releasing veteran linebacker Myles Jack in a move that will save the team $8.35 million, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The news comes one day after the Jaguars agreed to terms with six free agents, including linebacker Foye Oluokun, who led the NFL in tackles last season with 192. Jack was the Jaguars' leading tackler last season with 108 and has had at least 107 tackles in three of the past four seasons.

The move will cost the Jaguars $4.8 million in dead money. Jack was due to make $10.5 million and count $13.15 million against the cap in 2022, which would have been the third-highest cap figure on the team behind left tackle Cam Robinson ($16.662 million) and cornerback Shaq Griffin ($16.5 million).

Jack signed a four-year, $57 million extension that included $33.06 million guaranteed in September 2019, a deal that at the time made him the NFL's third-highest-paid inside linebacker. The Jaguars drafted him 36th overall after trading up two spots in 2016.

There were concerns about Jack's right knee before the draft, and he acknowledged to the New York Post in a pre-draft story that there may be some degenerative issues, "but it's nothing extreme."

Jack has missed only nine games in his six-year career and has 513 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 3 interceptions and 4 fumble recoveries.

Jack, who has started games at inside and outside linebacker, never made a Pro Bowl, but he will forever be a part of Jaguars lore because of a play in the AFC Championship Game following the 2017 season. Jack ran down New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis, stripped the ball as he tackled him, and jumped up and returned it for what should have been a touchdown that gave the Jaguars a 17-point lead early in the fourth quarter.

However, the officials blew the play dead after he recovered the ball because they believed he was down by contact. The Patriots later rallied to win 24-20.

Replays showed he wasn't down, and that birthed the "Myles Jack wasn't down" phenomenon among Jacksonville fans.

Will Randy Gregory play in a 34 D? @ the strong side OLB'er for this new DC? or will the Broncos go to a 43 D? RG only had 6 sacks as a pass rusher in 2021 his best season. Being 6-5/260 lbs he could be the right size to be able to play the former Von Miller 34 OLB'er post. In his 5 yr career, he only has 16.5 sacks. RG was only 235 lbs when he played @ Nebraska.

I see this as a big new element in the Von Miller back to Denver saga.....to be continued:wow2:

This makes it much less likely that Von returns to Denver. Unfortunately, I think it greatly increases the chances that the Cowboys make a run at him.

The good news is that the "going home" factor is gone, which would seem to help the Rams out.

Couple internal O-Line signings.

Absolutely love the Steelers' addition of James Daniels at three years and $26.5M.

Not a fan of Conor Williams who signed with the Dolphins for two years and $14M.

Myles Jack is definitely intriguing. He looked promising coming out of college. I have not followed him at the NFL level, but coming from the Jacksonville, you might be fair to expect he would improve and excel in a better environment.
Remind him what the Rams did for ex-Jags Fowler and Ramsey.

Dallas regressing Carson Wentz will lead the commodes to a division title.

Do you see Von Miller making a switch to a 43 D with Dan Quinn this late in his career? What post would Von change to 43 D DE or 43D OLb'er?

There are a ton of big-name pass rushers still remaining UFA's unsigned @ this time.
