Cincinnati told him to go find a deal and only the Giants showed interest other than the Rams. It revisionist history to claim it was any other way
He was signed almost immediately at the start of FA. He was not out there twisting in the wind...but hey, I guess the best available LT was just lucky we threw him a bone.

I would have liked to see how Engram turned out if he'd been in L.A. the last four years. He could have been a Jordan Reed type weapon in this offense.
That's what I thought the Rams' new coach (McVay) wanted. He had Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis in Washington, and played a ton of two-TE-sets. Thought he wanted Engram to team with second-year-TE Tyler Higbee. With Engram gone, I thought the Rams went with a similar skill-set in Gerald Everett.

After signing Woods, drafting Kupp and trading for Watkins, McVay mostly used 11-personnel in 2017.

I like the idea of Trubisky on second go-around with Steelers. The fit is good.
He has a very bad rep among fans but he wasn't bad after his rookie season. Those Bears teams had very little on offense and he won with them.

Agree. Very few second chances work out, but I could see it here.

Interesting choice… by Teddy!
After a pedestrian 2021 in Denver with some good talent around him I think he's relegated to that backup/spot starter role like Fitzmagic

That Kirk contract is stupid. Wow.
I agree. I think he's a good QB if your plan is to just make the playoffs but he's unlikely to live up to that.

I'd draft two or three QBs and rotate them in games before I'd pay a mediocre fuck like him top money.

So now that we know the Rams valued the oline in FA, who's next to be signed? OBJ, Miller, Wagner, or Gilmore? Lol

I meant Christian Kirk!

EDIT: Updated my original post.

First 3, don't see the 4th as an option. I wonder about AJ Bouyae after he was cut on a prove it deal. Still want something other than him but might not be bad depth.

So you're a Cousins lover. Ok, got it. :laugh4:

Yeah he was overpaid too. Many signings thus far that are going to be cuts in a year or two as usual and Kirk may well be one of them.

Yeah I'm leaning towards secondary help since Williams seems like a goner. I get he wasn't always the most consistent but he was much better than anything we had behind Ramsey. We need to reload the #2 CB if/when he leaves.
