Not really. Whitworth was 35 and didnt really have any suitors. He wanted to go to the Giants but they decided to stick with Erick Flowers. Scherff just turned 30 and has multiple suitors but opted for the most $$.
What you quoted was just a joke, making light of his choice. Good for him to grab that dough, but make going from one awful organization to another
One awful org to another... Again see Whitworth in 17'. At least that was the general feeling about both orgs in 17'.

And he could have gone elsewhere. He was considered a quality LT. They don't grow on trees.

ESPN rated him the #1 LT and #2 OT overall. He had options.

Shelton getting a two year deal would seem to say a lot. He’s likely in line to at least contend for a starting guard spot.

  • Rams re-signed OG Coleman Shelton to a two-year contract.

The Rams have made their offensive line a point of emphasis to start free agency, re-signing three players on the first day. Shelton is a backup on the interior but did see action in two spot-starts last year. He will likely remain a backup in 2022 but brings some versatility and depth to the table.

Carlton Davis re-signs with Tampa. Bucs and Packers will be formidable again in 2022.

A week ago today, I was hoping Rodgers would be in the AFC, Brady would be on a beach somewhere and most of Tampa and Green Bay's top free agents would be signing elsewhere.

However, even when I am disappointed, I just sit-back and think ... the Rams are Super Bowl Champs!

On a more important topic, Where has OldSchool gone the past hour or so?!?!
We pay him a compliment. It goes to his head. Than he takes a break! WTF!!!

OldSchool:

I just hit enter on the above post, only to see that you had posted one minute earlier.

I know I should apologize but I am not going to.

That was a guy hyped to no end that draft and hasn't lived up to it.
I thought Engram might have been the Rams' hoped-for/target in McVay's first Draft in 2017 when they wound-up with Everett after the Giants selected Engram in the first round.

Live in NYC and got to see a ton of Engram. What a tease. Talented but frequent injuries and critical drops.

I would have liked to see how Engram turned out if he'd been in L.A. the last four years. He could have been a Jordan Reed type weapon in this offense.
