Local insiders expect the Cardinals to offer him a new deal this summer. I agree with that opinion. They really can't go forward without Murray. Can they?

They already have an aging roster with new holes in it every year, but it's not a bad roster, so now's not the time to go looking for another young QB...AGAIN.

In the last 4 years they've taken Rosen in the 1st rd and then Murray #1 overall. I mean...you have to continue to build around Murray.

They kept the shitty GM that built this thing. You can't "not pay" Murray.
I think they should take feelers on qb hungry teams. I’m not impressEd with his play or his person. Fire the GM as well ( not sure they can at this point in the off season).

I’d trade Murray. He’s already declining. Why give him a huge raise? They may get three first round picks for him.

Their roster isn’t that good. They aren’t challenging for the division.

I probably trade him too.

But I believe their roster is good enough to punch a playoff ticket in the NFC.

Once there, you got a chance.

If that's the case, who WOULD trade for him?

I remember ppl praising their GM for taking guys like Isaiah Simmons and trading for Rodney Hudson.

Problem with Kyler is accountability. That starts with him and ends with Kliff.

If I were AZ, I wouldn't sign him. Dudes a superstar for the first 8 weeks and disappears the next 9. But I hope they keep him as a Rams fan

All you have to do is look at how the Cards spend their money. Last year they paid DJ Humphries their LT $19.9M. IMO when it comes to LTs Humphries is a JAG. In 5 years the Rams paid Whitworth a total of $53.5M for an average of $10.7M. Then they wonder why they can't keep talent? What a bunch of jagoffs the Card FO is.

I was skeptical of those figures so I looked it up and you're 100% right. How lucky were the Rams that such a fantastic LT took much less money than he could have in the open market to stay with the Rams

Future coach?

I think the Arizona fans would be interested to hear that running QBs should be paid more too because they have higher chance to get hurt. So add idk 10% to his $50M deal.

I would like to know what Carolina would trade for Murray.

Would they do three #1s, plus Derrick Brown and Jaycee Horn?

Nah. Why would any team trade all that for a guy whose narrative is that he's a douche that always crumbles in November and December?

I didn't say it was a smart play but sometimes owners and coaches panic. There's been a lot written about the Panthers' owner; and Matt Rhule may not be on firm-ground.

Seems like the Panthers were Deshaun Watson or bust, and not only did they best, they voluntarily pulled out (hehehe).

If they trade for him it wont be for that much. It'll be like a 1st rounder and some lower round picks.

Smart money says Murray is another Baker Mayfield. They both are immature, both can't read defenses beyond two making them limited in offensive schemes with the idea that perhaps they have reached their ceiling. All you have to do is look at the zero interest in Mayfield to know the same would be said for Kyler. IMO the Cards will trade up in this draft to get a QB and trade or cut Kyler. NOBODY WANTS A KID AS THEIR FRANCHISE QB.

Both Kyler and Baker sank their own ship with their childish behavior. There will be an active market post draft for Jimmy G before there is one for either one of these losers. OBJ exposed Baker as being unable to read defenses. Kyler basically taking himself out of a game is not being a leader. Both of these guys are headed to backup status or out of the NFL altogether. IMO the latter is more likely as their egos wouldn't accept backup. IMO Kyler will fail in MLB as you can already see how he will view being in the minors or any length of time.

Maybe but if that's the best AZ could do, I would not even consider it if I'm the Cardinals' Management.

I just wonder how desperate some teams (owners and/or head coaches) can be. I thought Cleveland was insane (and desperate) to extend and fully-guarantee that contract for Watson.

Just shaking my head over how immature Kyler is. I guess the Ram's broke the entire NFCW. Watch the Cards move up and draft a QB this year. The Cards can trade Kyler to the Panthers for their #6 pick and then take a QB with the pick. Problem solved. (I actually think it might happen). Or they can simply trade up the usual way and take a QB. Either way I think Kyler's days in AZ are over. The Cards have McCoy if they need a bridge QB. Re-signing McCoy would make even more sense if they do take a QB. The rookie could start or redshirt this coming season.

Too bad, just when he and Aaron were really getting to know each other so well.

I'm not sure anyone is going to pay Kyler $40M / yr. Who would pay a QB that melts down in the playoffs and has melted down in the last half of the last two seasons.

I was just snooping AZ boards, and a lot aren’t happy with Murray.

If he gets a better deal, he could be putting pressure on himself.

Trade talk;

Get Baker Mayfield;

The Air Raid Offense - did the Cardinals execute it or was it supposed to be something else?

There are two sides to that coin.

1. Load up on picks and hopefully find a QB down the road because your team sucks.

2. Or figure that at the very least Murray puts butts in the seats even if he’s a crappy leader and is not likely to reach a Super Bowl. So pay him and ride it out.

If it’s me I’d trade him and try to land Mayfield, or get the Ravens backup. Etc,…. The reason is that after all the negatives that we have read about Murray, I would not trust him. If they gave him a lot of guaranteed money he could play for a year and after one more injured season and he could bolt for baseball.
