I don't love the pick either because i feel he's a reach and too small...but i do like adding some speed to our WR room and a guy who can help the O get back to effectively run those jet sweeps again. The Rams scared no one running those options last year with Woods/Kupp/Jefferson.
And a starting quality Center or Guard is going to help the offense a lot more than a 5th WR. We signed DJax and paid him well to be that deep threat or are we already calling that a bad signing that won't pay dividends? Either way an incredibly questionable pick that people are justifying because he's fast and returned 4 punts in his college career. If this was with our 4th round pick it's something you can stomach. With our first round t's terrible.

Texans take the heat off the Rams! Thank you Texans for making grade F pick! Our D- pick looks acceptable now.

He posted a video on his social media showing 160 and his NFL network page says 155 lbs. Either way, who gives a shit. He's out there to run down the field and catch balls not block.

Donnie Avery was drafted to run down the field and catch balls.

Dalman in the 3rd especially with us late in the 3rd isn't bad at all. Brugler has him with a 3rd/4th round grade and projects him at like 95th pick in a mock.
I don't like his film man. Would not touch that dude in round 3. In fact the coach being his coach worries me too.

For all McVay's strengths I think his weakness is he gives too much autonomy to his OL coaches. We'll see though wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong on a guy.

They'll probably reach for Dalman. So we can watch him lose control of his assignment like Blythe lol.
Dalman is a bit smaller than Blythe. I would not be bothered with the selection of Dalman but with the 6th #209 or 7th #252 picks.

Doesn't really matter who they actually took to me. But if they really liked the other guys they would've taken them. He's not "our guy", but that doesn't mean it was the "wrong guy".

Lol everyone is a ram guy and we all know the obvious. Nobody going to root against him but this board is for opinions. My opinion is I don't like the pick but always want to be wrong. My belief and it seems others opinion is similar. I'm sure anyone upset with the pick wants to be dead wrong we are entitled to have opinions and guys we like. So you want to point out the obvious knock yourself out bro.

I highly doubt he would of been on anyone elses radar. Wasted 2nd round regardless...
And quite frankly he shouldn’t have been on ours especially for a 2nd..
He was on Mels top 5 left before we picked.

you can argue Mel is wrong, but he had him right around where we took him.

For the amount of people saying trust McVay if Dalman is the pick I'd say trust in Carberry. The guy who was his OL coach the last few years and is now our OLine coach.

Ehh. Sometimes I feel ppl would rather be right about who they mock rather than see the potential each pick brings.

I’m remembering that first year how often they ran that play with gurley up the middle and Avery on a sweep. Guessing they want to bring that back with a potential play action off both.
New QB processes quickly and can read defenses well. Not saying I’d do it, but I can see it.
