And that's what's the most maddening. They're being traded for shit. If you like the young dudes we have, fine.. but trading for a proven veteran who is still solid and can coach the

Not just vets but multiple ex pro-bowlers who were very attainable. While we sit and talk up Chandler Brewer and Tremayne Anchrum. Its frustrating as hell.

I'm not sure what you don't understand. I've expressed in the past that I thought a quality free agent TE would be helpful, but I still believe a speedy deep threat WR better fits Stafford's skillset when resources are as thin as ours are. Most of the best free agent TE's are now gone, so I could see McSnead trying to upgrade Mundt/Blanton somewhat, but I doubt we can expect much better than that this year. A draft upgrade is still a possibility, but that just gets us another inexperienced player like Hopkins. jmo.

All these pro bowl interior OL coming into our division for cheap contracts and mid to late round picks. Sure hope Snead and McVay have a plan because we've missed out on some very very good players.
Not understanding the ‘cheap contracts’ comment.

Hudson’s contract is a $10M cap hit.
Jackson is just under $10M.
Mack is $5.5M and he is re-uniting with Shanahan.

That's about as big of a waffle as I can imagine. So you think they'll either sign a FA TE (like your post indicated) or not, or draft one, which isnt advisable, unless its the guy you like, or go with who they have, or dont..... But that 4th WR, phew is that a need or what???

This is what happens when you have to eat a shit load of dead money. That alone is holding us back in FA big time.

What waffle ? The Rams currently have 3 TE's, I believe they will eventually up that number to 4, whether it be a current free agent, a CAP casualty following the draft, or an actual draftee, ... I don't know, I suppose he might also come by way of trade. As i've explained in the past, I don't believe a mid or late round drafted TE will be of much use to us in 2021, so i'd assume a vet of some kind would be higher on their radar.

You want to continue your over-the-top act, we can just go our separate ways, ... no problem.

They have 2 TE, 1 who's never caught a pass.
Blanton has only a futures contract and Mundt hasnt even received the lowest tender

I feel like we've all forgotten but the Rams are almost never active on the first day of free agency. Even the year they went all in they traded for a bunch of guys but they didn't sign a lot of free agents. Wasn't Suh their first free agent? And that was like a couple of days into free agency. Either him or robey Coleman but either way The Rams always let the first wave go by before they pick up valuable pieces for less money.

I can't even imagine what will happen round here if the Rams trade that second round pick for Ertz. :ROFLMAO:

I say try to get TY Hilton or edge rusher, at the right price of course, if they aren't going for a center. Basing this on who's left in FA.

Really?
You want them to go Edge after re-signing Floyd.

If they tried to sign Hilton, who doesn’t figure to be cheap, would he be the #3 behind Woods and Kupp? That would push last year’s second round pick, Jefferson, to the #4 WR.

If they can afford a decent free agent, I would think O-Line, D-Line, CB or TE.

Right now, the top reserves at DE and TE have never played in the NFL, and the only reserve-corner with any experience is David Long.

Yes I do but only if they are cheap and aren't going after an o-lineman until the draft. Trust me, I know it's wishful thinking at best. If we can get another solid edge opposite of him, that helps out our secondary and run defense that much more. Also, yes Jefferson will be pushed down the depth chart. It does give us the option to rotate WRs if needed or even run 4 WR sets that would be deadly. It also seems like the Rams are just going to have to go young somewhere no matter what. They've been scouting DBs and O-lineman for a reason. Their FA moves towards not signing one so far is hinting at them using the draft as a means to fill those spots.
