The level of competition reminds me of the 2018 schedule, i.e. not nearly as difficult as 2019. The Pats won't be the machine they have been and they will be playing here. The same with Chicago who won't have their bad weather advantage. The only team where that might be an issue is playing the Eagles. If they get them early in the year it should be fine.

Dallas is a hurdle but again it will be played here. That's why I think 13- 3 is a realistic record for the year.

I wouldn't be so fast to rule out the Pats. Belichick beat us in two Super Bowls because of his defense shutting down high end passing games. He's done the same thing to other high end passing teams like the Bills back when they were in their window. That Bills offense was crazy good but Belichick is on a different level as a gameplanner. In fact the truth is if you want to beat Belichick you gotta have a good run game and we can't be sure quite yet that the Rams will have that due to their OL.

There will be some easy games but the Cards are going to give us 2 much tougher games than last year too. And Dallas just had a fantastic draft and added a WR1 at the top so you can't just shut down Cooper now. Their offense is gonna be extremely high caliber this year and they beat us last year just with the run game alone.

We are in no place right now to overlook anyone.

I think Dallas is going to be the best team in the NFC next year. I hate them but McCarthy is going to reenergize that team. They have loads of talent. Elliot and Prescott are at their peaks and healthy and their Oline is still dominant. Now they have a trio of excellent receivers. The D took some hits but their Linebackers are the best in the NFL as a unit IMO. I still see the Niners and Saints as the other 2 top NFC teams based on the offseason and talent/coaching. If things go right for us we can be in that 3-7 slot in the NFC in a reload year for us. I see Green Bay stumbling this year as their 13-3 record last year was very underwhelming and Rodgers might already have a foot out the door after the Love pick. The Vikings, Bucs and Eagles will be tough. Seattle will win their 10 games as usual. The dark horse is gonna be Arizona and possibly Atlanta.

NFL set to release full 17-week schedule next week, league spokesman says

The NFL isn't altering its fall plans.

The league will release its 2020 schedule late next week without any major changes, league spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed -- including a Sept. 10 opener, the Super Bowl on Feb. 7 and visions of fans in the stands.

"We plan to start on time," McCarthy said.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported in mid-April that the league planned to release its schedule, based on a full season, by May 9. NFL executive vice president Troy Vincent told The Associated Press this week that the league is doing "reasonable and responsible planning" regarding health and safety during the coronavirus pandemic.

The league has evaluated contingency plans should the pandemic intensify, working in conjunction with the NFL Players Association and medical experts on a set of protocols.

One of those contingencies is delaying the season until mid-October, according to the Sports Business Journal. Empty stadiums and no bye weeks have long been discussed.

One option not on the table, a source told ESPN, is gathering players at a centralized location to execute a season. The NBA and Major League Baseball have discussed playing at a neutral site such as Walt Disney World, Las Vegas or Arizona, but the NFL doesn't plan to do that.

The NFL schedule is not expected to include an influx of Saturday games, despite uncertainty about whether college football can start its season on time.

The league is evaluating when players can reenter team facilities. The NFL and NFLPA have agreed to keep buildings closed until every state in which a team resides lifts its stay-at-home mandate. Teams are prepared to conduct offseason workouts and June minicamps virtually.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will not accept a salary during the pandemic. The league raised more than $100 million for coronavirus relief during the NFL draft.

That’s not counting the cost of civil unrest. I’m not sure people realize just how much distraction the NFL provides to the populace. This country is getting on edge with all the events of our day. Better get some heads cracking on the gridiron before things get ugly.

I have a theory. If the Rams Cowboys game is scheduled mid-season, it's the target date for fans returning to games.
They are planning on having a regular, full season with fans in the stands. They WON'T, however, start off a season without fans, then introduce fans later per an article I read.

Have they set a schedule release date? Seems odd that they have had these over the top release shows as a prime time event the last few years and now it’s like “oh well it’ll happen sometime this week”.
