Yeah, it's tough. On the other hand, we get a week off before facing Seattle and the first time we play SF it'll be their 3rd consecutive home game. Might be a little fat from home cooking?
Someone else mentioned we only have back to back home games once. Yeah but we only have back to back road games twice. SF has back to back road games 4 times. Seattle only has back to back home games twice. Both SF and Seattle finish the season with 2 out of 3 on the road.
There's good and bad with everybody's schedule. Both Seattle and Arizona finish against the Rams and niners. Shouldn't be an easy two weeks for them.
Everybody's schedule is tough. Ain't nothing easy in the NFL. Just get ready for the season, whenever it starts and kick ass. It doesn't matter where you play if you're putting up 30 a game and allowing just 15.
From the article: "Coming off that bye, the Rams will only have to leave the Pacific Time Zone once the rest of the season ". Half a year without traveling out of their time zone. That's gotta be a positive.
both whiners games are after a trip to the east coast? I call BS and one is a short week.
Meh.
Last year we played Seattle on Thursday night and the Niners played Monday, then we were home for them the following Sunday. They had a short week, we had a few extra days (not a bye week, but still) and they came into LA and beat us 20-7.
I understand that NFL scheduling has inequities. I don't think I've ever had a complaint on schedules, however,
I stick by my statements. Division games are too important to give one team the kind of advantage the Whiners are getting with a week off, Rams playing on MNF, and having to travel from Tampa.
It doesn't matter if the Rams have benefitted from this in the past. It should never happen to any team. I'm positive Eagle fans and management would be raising hell if they had the same scenario against the Cowboys. Imagine the Cowboys having to face the Eagles, with the Eagles coming off a bye week, and after traveling for MNF in Seatle. Jerry might have a heart attack.
I hope the Rams will be ready and this game doesn't decide the division or playoff birth for the Rams.
