Ok, seems to happen every year. We on this board seem to get stuck on a few “wish list” players. And when/if some of those players are still available when we pick and the Rams weren’t listening to our brilliant ideas and pick someone no one on this board, or any other board, I just smile and say to myself...” huh, Someone must be getting paid to find these guys that no one else noticed.”

It’s harder to move up than it looks. The Dolphins pick at #39 is worth 510. Our picks at #52, #104 and #126 add up to 512. No way in hell I would give up three picks just to move up 13 spots in round two.

Yeah. I think most people are cool, myself included, when you think of us trading our 2020 first rounder for Ramsey. I mean, he’s a stud and good luck finding one of those any draft.

However...

Your point about salary is a good one, and I’ll frame the Ramsey trade a little differently...

Would you trade Ramsey for any of these guys, or any remaining player, and a 2021 1st rounder? So..

Rams: trade Ramsey

Rams: receive one of these guys, plus a 2021 first rounder

I'll answer your query in a heartbeat. No, and absolutely no. It's too difficult to get a top 10 shut down corner these days. And IMO after we see Ramsey play in the new defense for a full year, I believe the vast majority of Rams fans will see it that way also.

Murray + 2021 1st round pick + the money to sign Ramsey. His $13Mil could have gotten the Rams an offensive lineman (not sure who) or some other player.

Rams would still need a CB. It a close call because the good CBs went and go early.
