That's not how it rolls and they still rolled us. And it wasn't on Goff. That FG before half that drive FML. But it's on Goff. Obviously they wanted Jifan Love.

This was my exact take from his mic’d up video from the Sea wildcard game. Dude was positive always and in everyones ear all game. Love seeing young leadership!

Akers is such a fucking stud. What a huge playoffs he had. 18 for 90 + 1TD today. Been watching him since FSU and knew he would be a great pro, so glad we drafted him. Sucks he had some injuries early in the year but he will be a monster next season.

I can’t wait to see a settled in Akers get involved in the screen game tbh. I think it has truly deadly potential!

So all Goff's mistakes and poor play are forgiven with a marginal final game? My you're easy to please.

where did I say that?

I’m fine with Goff coming back in part because we may not have a choice. But I would also be thrilled if McVay got Watson if that’s what he thought he needed to win.

Goff played solidly tonight. Not saying anything beyond that.

Darious Williams, Leonard Floyd is gone. We all know this add more to this sitting pot. We got close. That's life. #12 will be in the Pat MacAFee show Tuesday. We had our chances.
Darious Williams is restricted. If they lose him it will because they can't match an offer and then they receive a draft pick depending on their tender offer.

I think if the cap is less than $200M, Havenstein will be traded. Whitworth only comes back with a pay cut. Maybe Higbee even gets traded, but that would be tough with losing Everett.

Donald gets restructured and maybe Goff, but they would have to be willing to risk eating more dead money on Goff down the road if they pull the plug on him.

I have just a few things to say about today

One - Donald was clearly not himself and without Donald we are only a good to very good defense.

And a good defense got destroyed by a Great Offense today

Two - Reeder and Young were horrible out there today. I was asking for Kiser by the second quarter.

Three - Why didn't Staley blitz a little bit. Even one or two run blitzes a series with fake blitzes on other plays would have made a little difference on some of those run plays. And play closer to the line. Too far off the entire game.

Four - GET GOFF A CENTER - that is all.

@UKram @Tano It’s started. See you on the other side ;)

@OldSchool time to respond with a:LOL:
Unless they go get Watson, who are they going to get to replace Goff? And I just can't see us having the picks to trade for Watson or the cap room.

The only thing I would like to see from Goff is a lessening of mistakes. He made some dumb ones this year.

And he will need a better OL. He is not very good at avoiding sacks when they come from all angles.

I think we keep Goff unless we can get Watson and I’d wager they work like hell to keep any negotiations on the DL b/c it’s not great to tell your starting QB that you tried to trade him in the off-season

honestly i think he did taylor the offense to goff and the offensive line...

Goff is accurate on short throws... so lots of short throws... the oline is average so get it out quick
He is accurate on deep throws too as long as he has time to throw and a WR that can get open deep. A lot times he over throws the deep balls because the WR doesn't get any separation and isn't open. We need a WR that is either fast enough to get open or big enough to outplay the DB for the ball. We have good WRs, but they are all possession types.

I had a feeling our D was going to prove that their #1 ranking was a bit of a mirage in this game. Partly due to AD not being right and partly due to A-Rod being great. They marched the ball on us with complete ease...and it was gut-wrenching to watch.

All in all, it was a fun season...and I hope Sean can pull some strings to make us even better next year.

We need a center who can hold up. Interior pressure killed them. That and the fact that the Packers get away with holding on every single play.

The Packers would have probably won if the game was played on a neutral site. But to say it was a non-factor is ridiculous.
Cold weather I'm sure affected tackling and movement out there. Crowd noise also played a factor.

It didn't decide the game... but I'm sure MOST players would agree Lambeau is a tough place to play, fans or no fans.

Reasons the rams lost (in order):

1: inferior talent to opponent

2: piss poor game plan

3: Seahawks game took too much of a physical toll

4: lack of discipline

5: failing to adjust to game conditions

6: too much reliance on too small a group of players

....

....

84: lack of In-n-out burger

....

.....

107: Lambeau Field mysticism

....

....

189: soft LA residents who are mildly uncomfortable in moderately chilly conditions even though there are heaters everywhere and they're being physically active and are actually warm as a result

417: 9000 employees from a meat packing plant scattered around a building that represent 11% of total building capacity in a stadium that was built before acoustical reverb was an architectural consideration

Or, to use math, traditionally home teams win 57% of their games. Want to take a wild guess what that percentage was this year? I suggest googling it. And then read up on how, for the first year, bookmakers stopped giving home teams 3 points in the spread. Then you'll understand why your argument is bad, and you should feel bad for subjecting us to it

They definitely controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides. I was surprised how well they ran it down our throats..super surprised. And that cant all be put on AD being hurt. Our angles and tackling today were atrocious. You cant let that team run the ball well. Only chance to get to Rodgers was stop the run and get them in known passing situations. If they are in manageable down and distances like today no way you beat them.

Honestly Goff played well 2day and should've been a non story. But leave it to McVay to answer a question like that and not commit to him, and get the Rams' writers all riled up. I personally wanted us to make a run at Watson, even if it meant giving up another 2+ 1st rounders because I think he's that good. Figured it was a long shot though, but when McVay says stuff like that maybe we actually do try and trade for him.
I think McVay wants Goff to feel uncomfortable with his situation. I think he saw a motivated Goff over the last few weeks that hasn't been their for a while. He mentioned earlier in the season after the Miami game that he needed to put in more time during the week. He thinks and I think rightfully so that Goff needs to study harder and work with more intention than he has the last 2 years. Like I said, the last 3 weeks McVay saw the Goff he wants to see all the time. A more focused Goff.

I like how the people that protect goff like he is an infant have no problem calling teh defense out...

the defense that was really without its best player and that has carried the team all year.

Im not suprised but it makes me laugh.. people are... just typical.

I've done both after their bad games but its a team game ya know?
Its 11 dudes. When the defense shits the bed and I call out the defense, im not pretending its all 1 guys fault.

You don't recognize a difference between that and bitching about Goff when our O-line plays like shit and Everett and Reynolds have multiple drops in a game?

Its a team game. When the D sucks I say the D sucks. When the O sucks I say the O sucks. And when its special teams, I treat them as a unit as well.
