Darious Williams, Leonard Floyd is gone. We all know this add more to this sitting pot. We got close. That's life. #12 will be in the Pat MacAFee show Tuesday. We had our chances.

Lamar Jackson is a running QB.

Mobile QBs are Rodgers, Wilson, Watson, and Allen. Mobile QBs are even more important because they can make off-schedule plays.

There’s no way to know if McVay was just bummed from the loss or his upset allowed his season long frustration to seep out.

McVay is one of the most intentional people I’ve known.

Whatever the reason, it’s pretty clear he’s not high on Goff rn.

which is funny because Goff had a really solid game.

We’ll see if it’s a working frustration or if McVay is looking to move on.

So all Goff's mistakes and poor play are forgiven with a marginal final game? My you're easy to please.

If McVay wants to move on from Goff, so be it, but he better have a replacement in mind. #1 QBs are hard to find, and that is what Goff is. He's also young, and a pocket passer, so he should theoretically be able to play at a high level for quite some time.

I am probably one of McVay's biggest critics on the forum. I find him good, but not great. There are several coaches I would take way, way before him. And I perceive arrogance to be one of Mcvay's biggest flaws - gotta wonder if that same arrogance makes him think he can plug in any QB and succeed. Which, of course, no NFL coach can. There is lots of blame to go around this year. McVay included. To the extent he might be trying to scapegoat Goff for all of the offense's struggles, to move off Jared, perhaps it works. JG sure has his shortcomings. But he's a good QB on balance and tough as nails. Be careful what you wish for...
I honestly think that the decision to cut a known-commodity like Goff for an unknown has to be one of the hardest a head coach has to make. It is extremely difficult to find an above-average QB and even more difficult to find one that is elite. I don't think we move on from Goff right now because, outside of the contract situation, we know that he's good ENOUGH to get us to a Superbowl. He's proven that.

As far as McVay goes. Much like Goff he is young and has room to grow. What is up for debate is how much of that growth has been displayed from both McVay and Goff. My personal opinion (which I know many won't agree with) is that ever since McVay went away from having a legitimate offensive coordinator the offense hasn't looked the same. I know the offensive line has been a mess and I understand the importance of that particular unit when analyzing an offense as a whole, but we just don't look anything remotely like we did during our Superbowl run. The offensive unit has seen a steady decline. What we saw today from the Packers looked a lot more like the offense we were used to seeing. That ultimately falls on McVay because he has assumed full control of the offense and it hasn't been very good.

Edited to add: Is that arrogance on McVay's part? I don't know. But what I do know is that I think he still has plenty of time to iron out his own flaws.

Is DWill an RFA? May as well put a first round tender on him and see if anyone bites. Otherwise he's gone

Well said my bad
Unsure dude. I don't know, but if we're expecting to get a comp pick for something we can't match, I'd put a first round tender on him cause I think we may get a couple of offers.

They didn’t have an offensive coordinator in 2018 when they had their 2nd highest point total in team history, (behind the 2000 GSOT) and went to the SB

9000 fans is nothing. The concept of home field advantage is difficulty in changing plays or hearing snap count. This was a chargers game in that little soccer stadium they played in.

Also, the weather meant nothing. It wasn't bitingly cold, the field is heated, and the team had been there for days to acclimate.

Travel also means nothing. Oh no, they spend 4 hours on a private jet playing cards.

home field didn't play a factor in this outcome

The Packers would have probably won if the game was played on a neutral site. But to say it was a non-factor is ridiculous.
Cold weather I'm sure affected tackling and movement out there. Crowd noise also played a factor.

It didn't decide the game... but I'm sure MOST players would agree Lambeau is a tough place to play, fans or no fans.

Being unbelievably good.

That MF’er is one talented dude

LaFleur is a really good coach too. This is a high precision team which knows exactly what to do and how to do it. Their execution was outstanding. Like ours used to be when we had more talent on offense. No more bumbling around as under McCarthy.

Among other things we made more mistakes than they did. The early penalty on 4th and 1 and the early AD penalty really hurt. Other defensive mistakes stand out.

AD was clearly impacted by his rib and the D lacked its usual ability to control the run and pressure the qb.

Rams lack the blocking and fire power on offense to overcome mistakes and a less than great defensive performance against an outstanding team like GB.

But at least the Goff haters can take a week or two off before they start blathering again. Akers is the real thing. Jefferson stepped up.

Well said . McVay better take a look in the mirror because his game management and use of timeouts sucks. Who in their right mind calls your final timeout when you're 1st and goal with 50 seconds left ? You only need time for 4 plays at that point . Especially with Rodgers who has shredded your defense for 30 minutes just waiting to get the ball back . He handed the Packers 3 points and damn near 7 . Total asinine decision and killed what momentum they had . Genius my ass . No other NFL coach calls a timeout there . Before the Rams drive started , I posted about getting 7 points and not giving the ball back to Rodgers . You would think boy wonder would have the same idea.
