Unfortunate you would say that since we're looking at resigning him LMAOThe 69ers paid the wrong lineman. Buckner is elite, and Armstead has been bad until this season. I see Armstead as a Fowler-like situation.

They need to bring back Dennis Erickson pronto!!Yep. Few things piss me off as much as the whiners getting something right.
Buckner is very good, but he's not a top 2 DL. Definitely worth that first round pick the Colts paid though and I hope that Armstead (who is better IMO) tanks like some of you think he will.
I'd love to shit all over the 9ers, one of my favorite things to do, but I think they navigated that decision very well.

I don't form my opinions based on anyone else's opinion, least of all 9er fans Hell. I'm going off film, watched a lot of the 9ers already this offseason. But once again I hope you're right cheers my man.I'm originally from the Bay Area. Have many Niner fans as friends. 90% don't like this trade. They would rather have Buckner. Armstead was a borderline bust before this last season. Bucker is a beast of a presence on the inside.
I don't want to be all argumentative about this because I really don't care all that much. But they weren't going to keep both of them. Armstead figured it out and became a beast this season. They could have let him walk and garnered a 3rd round pick next offseason, but instead bit the bullet and kept the better player, AND got a round 1 pick in compensation in a very strong draft. It was well done IMO.Armstead has always had a ton of potential; that potential is what made him a top-twenty pick. He was incredibly raw coming out of Oregon (same school as Buckner, actually.) He seriously struggled for most of his career; Solomon Thomas was supposed to be a replacement. It didn't happen.

For the third time though I hope you all are right.
I suspect Silver is correct re: Gurley. But I doubt they can find anyone to take on that contract plus give us a 2-4th round pick.
Yes but Littleton is a pro bowler and special teams standout that started for 2 years every game. Kwiatkoski has started less games in 4 years than a 2 year starter. I wanted the guy also but this seems a bit rich.Seven million is nothing compared to what Littleton's likely going to get.
Higbeast won't even be a top 12 paid TE by 2021.
