This was on the coaching as much as the execution of the players. First and goal at the 3 why throw it on first down? The backup left tackle was overmatched. Why didn't they give him help? And it appears again they weren't prepared for the inevitable line injuries. The two backups were bad.
3 things that caused this loss, and you already stated them.
Zach Thomas - nothing more needed on that. But that said, Hendrickson is easily their best pass rusher. Somehow the Bengals can keep AD in check (mostly) by scheming for him. Why the hell did we not scheme to help Thomas out on their best pass rusher? Lucky Stafford escaped without injury here and it would have been on the coaches.
Tutu - I saw zero clear evidence that his heel touched. Don't they say that we need clear obvious evidence to overturn a call made on the field? How did they determine that? What I saw was he tip toed and his heel not touch. Utterly ridiculous.
Run Game - Seriously McVay? Against arguably the worst run defense in the league we barely even attempted to run, and, ironically, when we did, we averaged nearly 6 yards.... but yeah, lets have the oldest player in the league (who missed a majority of last season hurt) drop back 40+ times with perhaps the worst LT in the league trying to block their best pass rusher. Makes sense.

I’ve seen some posts here and elsewhere suggesting that the first INT wasn’t a catch. I’m not sure, but I will say it was tougher to see due to the dark gloves worn by the defender. Perhaps the NFL should require gloves to be white (or a light color that contrasts with the ball) to make those calls easier.
The motion picture that I can't get out of my head is one of the hard sacks of Stafford. Two defensive players coming off the edge and meeting in the middle at Stafford. They were almost untouched on the way to our QB. This sack alone could have ended Matthew for the year, as well as our season.

Sure, but what were they on 3rd and long specifically, which is what my gripe was? Situationally, they were not strong. They played okay overall. And definitely had some good moments. But that Bengals offense was completely neutered and had half a QB out there. In the circumstances, I don't think their showing was anything special. In normal circumstances, with a healthy Burrow, that is a very talented O. Last night their offence honestly looked really bad. Higgins couldn't catch anything. Burrow was a shell of himself. A good defence would have blanked them, or come close. They Bengals offense was bad. But found a way to put up the points regardless so credit to them.
EDIT - not to mention the back breaking momentum swings from consistently giving up 3rd and long.

If even one of those TDs are allowed we win. Tutu's TD or lack thereof is the exact difference in the game. The officials are point shaving as instructed to by the NFL. So the NFL is a complete and utter fraud. They have surrendered to the billionaires who run the gaming industry.
I used to work for a Calif casino technically in their IT dept. Actually, I took my orders from the in-house gaming commission. Every morning my shift started at midnight. I would download the cash report and submit it to them. Starting at about 2am I would make the rounds to each slot machine and reset their software. Each machine was set to randomly payout only a certain amount each 24 hours. Some never paid out others were more generous. The bottom line was the casino as a whole was guaranteed a profit from the machines.
In other words, the house always wins because it's structured that way. The only really unmanipulated gaming is probably poker because you are playing against other players, not the house. Have you ever seen someone winning big at blackjack? The house will then change the dealer and the player starts to lose big. It's because the new dealer is a mechanic, i.e. a professional cheat. Don't be fooled, the card boot makes it easier for the mechanic to cheat. That is why professional gamblers all only play poker, i.e. Texas Hold'em.
I'm telling you this to make people realize that cheating in gaming is institutionalized. It's real and exists. Anyone who has worked the casino floor knows it. The NFL isn't even following their own guidelines when it comes to play reviews. The Rams lost by 3 points the point difference between Tutu's disallowed TD and the FG is 4 points. If the NFL didn't shave those points, the Rams win and the betters lose again.
IMO McVay kicking that FG to cover the line pissed them off and Monday night the NFL got their revenge. It sent a clear message to McVay to get with the program or every call would go against the Rams. This shit happens in casinos and it sure as hell happens in the NFL nowadays.

Two comments on the ridiculous thought that the NFL is rigged.
First, such an extreme degree of institutional corruption would need to be so extensive that it could never be fully and permanently concealed; and, that leads to the second comment ...
If the NFL was rigged, and that came to light, the Sport of Professional Football would Immediately Die simply because so many fans would become disinterested; and would just stop supporting it.
