For the record Finnick The Fierce was a non-runner and should have been settled as a Push, (my error :oops:). Thousand Words was withdrawn 20 minutes before the race which was after the Sportsbook closed. For bet settlement purposes the horse 'participated' and any wagers on it would have lost. The Sportsbook rule about certain selections causing the Sportsbook to be void and settled as a Push is there to protect fair play. These Sportsbooks have very low margins. Should a +1600, (or shorter price), selection be void it could be possible to bet on every remaining selection and guarantee a profit. Thousand Words was a bigger price than +1600 so even if it had been a void selection bets on other selections would have stood.
