QFTOS-Super Bowl Edition

COME AND BATHE IN THE TEARS OF OUR VANQUISHED ENEMIES...

"
The city is stunned. A good year no doubt, but the truth is this chance only comes around once a generation (if you don't have Brady on your team). It's likely we will not witness the Bengals in another Superbowl in many of our lifetimes.
We should have a competitive team for awhile though, but plenty perenial good teams never make it back."

"But what if we do?" (have Brady)

"We don't. Burrow is a great QB for us, but now that the playoff run is over, we can admit there was never any magic from him and this offense. We never saw LSU Burrow. This run was all defense and special teams.
He's definitely better than Dalton, and that is important to note as that is what we all could have realistically hoped for."

"Just stop. The team that literally just won it did it on their 2nd try in 4 years. And they certainly didn’t have Tom ***** Brady. If the Bengals go all in while Burrow is on his rookie contract they could make it right back."

"Some of us are old and won't be around another 31 years. who knows if and when they will get another shot at a superbowl win. I applaud them for the great year and the effort but once again we get beat in the final minutes of a superbowl. Sad"

"So pissed they let them play the whole game only to get flag happy at the end. The Wilson play was just an amazing play in the ball, no flag should have been thrown. Would have set up 4th down.
What sucks also was the drop by Boyd. We keep that drive slivd we win or at least we have OT. The play calling bothered me. Is it in Mixons contract that he gets the ball every first down. I don’t have a problem with Perine getting the ball at the end. I want to see what happen on that deep pass, was Chase held?
After half with that TD then turnover I really thought we had this. I told myself I wouldn’t be mad if we lost, but the way it went down with the refs just pisses me off."

"This is going to leave Joe Burrow hungry to make it right. People who want to talk crap about my QB's performance can just GTF off this bandwagon now because I'm not having it. Dude took more punishment this year than any QB ever to make a SB. He was under siege the entire SB and he stood in and had us on the cusp of victory."

"That game should show everyone how scripted the league is, the refs literally call no flags until the last minute? Absolutely scripted, makes me not wanna watch anymore."

"This place is going to be unbearable for the next month." :laugh4:

What did you think of the halftime show??

I for one, loved it. Took me back circa 2002/2003 when I was getting into rap music.

50 Cent In Da Club was one of my first American songs I listened to. And Snoop, Eminem, Dr. Dre? C'mon now that was the most LA show ever.

It wasn't super theatrical like Katy Perry and JLo's ass wasn't vibing all over, but I really dug the simplicity of this show. It was really good.

Best WR season of all time!

Kupp just had the best WR season of all time!!

Stats in 21 games= 178 catches (most ever), 2425 yards (most ever and no one else is over 2000), 22 TDs

Most catches ever in a post season (33)

Triple crown winner most yards/catches/TDs
Offensive Player of the Year
Superbowl MVP

Jerry Rice is the only other WR to win the Triple crown + OPTY + SB MVP in their CAREER and Kupp just did it in one season.

Wow we are so lucky to watch him every week. GOAT season.

The 20 Random Thoughts I've Dreamed of Writing for Years

1. What an amazing feeling this is!

2. I'm thinking of the number 99...

3. This team has ascended to the summit occupied by the '99 Rams, and nobody can take that away from us.

4. MVP Cooper Kupp had 99 yards from scrimmage, and we needed every last one.

5. And number 99... Aaron Donald... arguably the greatest Ram ever.

6. So much happened in the course of one game. For a portion of the first half, it was the Rams that Sean McVay envisioned... dynamic, moving the ball down the field, and scoring.

7. Then, OBJ goes down (hope its not a major injury) and the offense - which could not run with any success all night - stagnated.

8. The start of the second half was a nightmare. Jalen Ramsey gets mugged on the long TD (can't believe no call on that one) and a bad bounce gives the ball right back to the Bengals.

9. Then, the defense decided to take matters into its own hands. Six second half sacks, including 5 from the three headed monster of Donald, Von Miller and Leonard Floyd.

10. And, finally... when the game was on the line, Matther Stafford showed why he was worth his price and more, and Kupp proved (in case there was any remaining doubt) that he was the best offensive player in football this season.

11. With all the stars, its easy sometimes to overlook the role players. Four deserve a shout out. On offense, Darrell Henderson and Brycen Hopkins had 43 and 47 yards receiving to help fill the void left by OBJ's injury. On defense, A'Shawn Robinson stuffed the run all night and added a sack, and Earnest Jones had six tackles, two TFLs and a sack.

12. There are a lot sports cliches, and most of them are exaggerations, but tonight I truly believe: the Rams left it all on the field. From those who limped off, to those who fought to the last play, to those who may have played their last snap tonight... this team gave its all. I felt that way 42 years ago when the Rams fought the Steelers to the end. Tonight, they got the pay off.

13. There will be a ton of questions about who will be back next year and how this team can put a roster together that can compete to repeat. I'll address that in the next couple of weeks. Right now, I just want to savor this win.

14. Before the game, I prayed for an easy night. A runaway win. A laugher like we used to see in the 80s and 90s. That would have made for a less stressful night. But, in the end, this is how it had to be, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

15. Congratulations and a ton of respect to the Bengals. They will be a force to be reckoned with in the AFC for years. They gave us all we could handle.

16. Remember back in November when people accused this team of having the talent, but not the toughness? To those people: how do you like us now?

17. I've been a fan of this team for over 40 years. I know that some of you have been fans even longer. We all know how special this is. Obviously, it doesn't come around very often. We'll remember and cherish this one forever.

18. Thanks for sharing this ride. I've now taken my bows, and my curtain calls. You've brought me likes, and high fives and everything that goes with them... I thank you all.

19. But most of all, thanks to a group of players who faced a challenge before the whole human race and said, with one voice, "I ain't gonna lose!!!!!!!"

20. We are the Champions, my friends!

Dedications

Who are you dedicating the Superbowl LVI championship to? For me:

1) Almost 6 years ago my mother finally saw my interest in the Rams and started appreciating it. She started collecting items and buying my pops and I gifts. Shortly after that time, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and lost the battle. This victory is for her.

2) This victory goes out to the past Rams fans who have supported the team, this board, and who we would all be proud to represent the Rams. @davefan51, @Thordaddy (I didn't know you, but your name is legend here) and @the Canadian accountant from TST.

3) Lastly this goes out to all of you @ROD who have supported the Rams and treated me like family.

Alright Ramily, let's hear some dedications!
