Who’s the team to beat in the NFC?
Posted by Mike Florio on October 3, 2016

More than 40 percent of you think the Broncos are the team to beat in the AFC. So who’s the team to beat in the NFC?

Glad you asked, because that’s the question we’re asking on Tuesday’s PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio and NBCSN.

So vote early, vote often, and if you ultimately think there isn’t a single worthy candidate, vote for no one — or vote for the one most likely to beat the candidate that scares the bejeepers out of you.

We’re still talking about football, right?

Anyway, feel free to battle it out in the comments, or to complain about who we added to the list and who we omitted.

Who's the team to beat in the NFC?

Eagles: 3-0
Falcons: 3-1
Seahawks: 3-1
Giants: 2-1
Packers: 2-1
Vikings: 3-0
Seahogs arent the team to beat. the Rams have shown everyone how to take them down. winning close games at least gives the Rams the confidence that they can do so. that last TD drive was huge for Keenum (i must admit it was a very good pass / catch by Quick-----nice adjustment to the ball------have to give props to 2 of my biggest question mark players on the team). maybe this is the game that gets Quick mentally right from here on out.
what on earth is wrong with the running game ?? maybe some of these big gains on passes might loosen things up, but wholly schmoley its been downright embarrassing. play action doesnt work unless both facets of the offense are moving forward. nice punt return by austin, and finally a face mask penalty on the opponents as well.

What Cardinals fans are saying ...after the game

When a couple of ill-advised challenge flags after a gritty, tough divisional road win becomes the focus of conversation i have to take a step back, giggle and shake my head a little.

I remember going 12-4 once and complaining about Martz blowing time outs every week. "Yeah but what if..."
I feel a little silly about it now tbh.

Some people just like to bitch.

If it becomes a big deal... bitch about it.

Bitching about it maybe becoming a big deal if... when... maybe.....

Please.

After the whole Martz, Shaw, Georgia tear down of one of the greatest teams ever in the history of football... This team has been downright shitty for a decade and a half. From Bulger to Foles and defenses that were.. wait? was there even a defense?

This team is competitive now.

It's been built up from the worst organization in the league. And sometimes the ball bounces the wrong way.

If the o-line would just settle down. I saw some contested catches this week! Gritty play from the QB.

It's easy to criticize afterwards. But you know that a challenge lasts longer than a time out right? I do not know, I don't care if you criticize Fisher. But it did not affect the game. And it turns out that every decision Fisher made was exactly right due to the outcome and results.

Heh. :)

3-1

and nobody is comfortable.

I prefer this to talking about the draft already.

Vermeil on Goff, Bradford, Wentz, and qb development.

No, he inherited Banks - that was a Rich Brooks/Ortmayer pick. Same year that regime drafted Eddie "stone hands" Kennison over Marvin "hands like a ninja" Harrison and Lawrence "I'm drunk bitches" Phillips over Eddie "Heisman" George.

Banks was the first QB taken, but in the second round.

Rich Brooks commented at the time that that draft made the Rams "more explosive". crap blew up alright, but it was not Dicky V's doing.

After the 1998 season, John Shaw forced Vermeil's hand in hiring a new offensive coordinator and Martz told Vermeil that Banks couldn't play. They got Trent Green, Marshal Faulk and Adam Timmerman that off season and then drafted Torry Holt (over Champ Bailey) to and the rest is sweet history.

You're right my bad. Vermiel's first pick was Pace.
I knew that. :palm:

After 4 Games Donald Best Player in NFL Again (PFF)

And to think that I agreed with the , "He is too small crowd"

I thought he'd have success in the NFL to the level of a D'marco Farr but I never saw this coming because of his size. I never expected him to be a complete package DT that can do everything... even rush from the DE spot... are you kidding me? Dude is a once in a generation freak of nature.

Test #2

ok.. still not working..
this is what I'm doing..hopefully some one can spot my fail.

Click on the "image" icon from the top ribbon icon menu
Paste URL on pop up window under Image URL:________________
Click insert.

am i missing something??
You're inserting the *page* url, and not the image URL. When you go to a place like that, right-click on the image you want, and select (depending on your browser), "copy image url" and then paste THAT address. Anything you try to post, image-wise, has to end in either .gif, .jpg, .png, or jpeg. So, keep that in mind. Here's your image.

Also, most of the time, you can right-click an image - select "copy image" - and then "paste" it right into your message here. This software does the rest.

Scouting the Buffalo Bills

A trap game? You consider them a trap? The Rams are favored by a point at home. Which mean if in Buffalo, we'd be favored by 5.

Its two evenly matched teams, that odd's makers say that we are a bit better. However, it is played there and will neutralize the difference in talent.

Easy there bud. I said nothing about the Bills being bad. I was getting more at the point that the Rams can't buy into themselves and think this will be an easy game at home because it won't be. Knowing the Rams of the past, they do something great and then come out and look flat. Whether it's coaching, being too full of themselves, or whatever it might be, they can't do it against the Bills if they want to have a chance of winning.

So to answer your question, yes I consider it a trap game, but not because I think the Bills are a bad team like you seem to be getting at.

Now go on back to your Bills forum and tell them how we're calling your team a bad team because you have misconstrued what I've said lol.

Play calling still a huge issue

You could probably watch any team play and pick out a dozen or so plays that look stupid after the fact. I'm not too worried about stuff like that. All I care about is seeing continual improvement. And I've seen that since the first San Fiasco game. Every week is getting better with in-game adjustments and situational play-calling. If anything, they have to start finding more creative ways to spring Gurley. If you can't get him free by handing it off, then send him somewhere and throw it to him. THEN try and run it again. Gotta keep defenses guessing.
