Gotta put in another vote for CJ.

IMHO, CJ wins award for “biggest contribution over shortest amount of time.”

We pick him up at the tail end of the season, and he goes for 167 in wk 16 and 132 in wk 17. That’s 299 rushing yards in 2 games!

CJ was huge for us in the playoff run, especially vs Dallas and NO (he had a clunker in the SB like everyone else).

In just 5 games as a Ram— 2 reg season and 3 playoff— CJ churns out over 500 yards from scrimmage and also has 4 TD’s.

And then he disappeared.

The Rams went with Malcom Brown & Detroit went with CJ Anderson.

Wonder how he would have done if brought back for another season ?

Yeah - without CJ The Rams might not have made the playoffs. He hit the hole hard.

-have to agree

3-4 years these days is more like average. Short term would be 1-2 years. Surprised to see the mention of Kurt.

Most recent is CJ, I was loving his production in late 2018.

Going back many years thinking of my favorite short term player... it's a tie between Elvis Peacock and Jewerl Thomas. Like CJ after them, thought we had found something more long-term there.

One defense Gary Green gets it for me. His career ended with a "what happened?" I think he had a neck injury forcing early retirement.

What about Greg Bell ? 2 1,100 yard seasons.

May have missed this one earlier, but John Hadl comes to mind. The exit (trade) after that wasn't bad either considering the situation.

Im thinking players that you really liked but didn't stay more than 3-4 years. Even shorter.

I really liked Tommy Polly, Pisa Tinoisamoa and even Jarametrius Butler.

My favorite short term Ram tho....Kyle Turley! I fucking loved that attitude. A guy that will kick your ass on and off the field.
Jim Bertelsen. As his 1972 rookie season wore on, he was getting more playing time and looking impressive. When Ground Chuck came in the next season, he made the Pro Bowl. Decent 74 season, then was playing really well in 75 when the knee went and when he came back in 76, hardly any snaps on offense foreshadowed his retirement.
