One of my favorite movies of all time. Named my first born son, Clint, after seeing this movie when I was about 10 years old or so.
I've even got the theme to the GBU for my ring tone on my cell.

Seems like everytime we knock out a QB. The backup comes in and gives us all we can handle.

Let's hope when Bradford goes down that whomever comes in we shut them down as well.

Not Much Emotion For Sam Bradford In Facing Rams
Darren Urban/AZCARDINALS.COM

Sam Bradford’s time with the Rams, considering he was once the No. 1 overall pick and assumed savior of the franchise, ended quietly.

He missed all of the 2014 season with a torn ACL and then was traded to Philadelphia for Nick Foles the following March, and in the four years since, not only has the coaching staff and roster turned over, the team doesn’t even play in the same city.

Really, the only real echo of that part of Bradford’s career is his draft status, which plays a small role in Sunday’s game between Bradford’s current team the Cardinals and his former employer.

In August, Rams defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh – apparently still smarting somewhat as the No. 2 selection in that 2010 draft when Bradford went No. 1 – noted that he was looking forward to playing Bradford and the Cardinals this season.

“I always mark the calendar when I have Sam Bradford on there,” Suh said in a podcast, adding, “I’ll definitely try to hit him as hard as I can.”

Bradford, asked about the quote Wednesday, wore a small smile. “Great,” he said.

“I mean, I get it,” Bradford said. “I think everyone wants to hit me. That’s kind of how it goes.”

There were plenty of things that need to be fixed for the Cardinals coming off their struggles in Week One, but one is Bradford, who ended up much more inaccurate than he had been all offseason and preseason. That didn’t help an offense that had ran just 13 plays from scrimmage in the first half.

Bradford completed just 3-of-7 passes for 11 yards in the initial two quarters, although he hit on 17-of-27 passes in the second half (for 142 yards). That’s still not close to the 70-plus percent completion rate he hit in his last full season of 2016.

After watching his video, Bradford said his lone interception – a high pass that was picked off by the centerfield-playing safety – was forced, noting Larry Fitzgerald was open underneath on the play. Patience, he said, even in the face of a big deficit, is crucial.

“When you’re not 100 percent confident in throws, they tend not to be accurate because you don’t feel great about it,” Bradford said. “A couple throws I made, in my mind, I was like, ‘I don’t know if I should be making this throw’ and then you still make it.”

Coach Steve Wilks said the Cardinals are still learning each other, on both sides of the ball. The trust is not all the way there, which led to some issues. Bradford sounded relieved there were not any “major, glaring breakdowns” offensively, although whatever the myriad small issues might have been, they were backbreaking.

Wilks, however, said he was pleased with how the veteran quarterback returned to work this week.

“He’s a little disappointed in his performance, which most of those guys in that locker room are,” Wilks said. “They should be. The way he came back today, along with the other guys, gives me a lot of hope.”

That’s all Bradford is thinking about for Sunday, the challenge of playing one of the best defenses in the league, and perhaps a way to sidestep Suh and the rugged Rams’ pass rush. Any emotions about playing his former team for the first time are basically absent.

“Not really,” Bradford said. “If it would’ve happened sooner, maybe there would be more.

“There’s just not a lot of connection that’s still there for me.”

GBU = The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Became a HUGE fan of Clint Eastwood after that and especially his "Spaghetti" western genre. Then of course I got into the Dirty Harry stuff and whatnot so I've always enjoyed Clint's work.
Heh....now that I'm older I just yell at everyone to "stay of the grass" like the character in one of his last movies! Well, mebbe not that bad but still.........

We are about to get our butts kicked.
--------------
The Rams freight train is going to run right over many NFL teams this year... the Tweety Bird Cardinals included.
------------
DC Holcomb called all D plays. He got schooled. Rookie DC lumps.
OC McCoy called all O plays. He got schooled too. Which is Really Bad considering his background.

To the Coaches; This is Not the Panther's or Chargers roster, this is the Cards Roster. Play to the rosters' strengths not it's weaknesses.
-------------
Lets hope this loss to the skins was just a fluke . First game jitters ? Perhaps we can catch the Rams off guard should the Cards show up and bring there A game this week. I know, I know . But its gotta be better then last weeks game.. Go Cards.
--------------
earlier I had an optimistic posts on how the cards COULD beat rams. imho the defense will play much better but I honestly don't see sam doing much different-he looked scared and seemed to be very concerned about holding the ball long enough for pass plays to work. so I say again, IF cards lose at rams and bears its time for rosen.

I think he is mentally tough enough to not lose confidence when team doesnt win much...get him ready for next year.
------------
"I dont feel so good"
:Spiderman voice:
-----------
If the Team can hang on for even 2 qtrs sunday at LA., like the Raiders did, it will be something to build on.

But...., if they play the same in the 1st half like they did against the Skins, it could be another 58-0 Seattle type drubbing. And the roof will cave in.
-------------
Fun fact: The last team to lose to the Browns was a Mike McCoy-coached team.

According to one of those Cards fans...

Bradford USED TO BE good??!?!

USED TO BE?!?

Jebus. Don’t Cards fans know how to root for Sam Bradford?

He’s the QB who COULD be good. The POTENTIAL to be good. If only he could put in a whole season, and stay healthy, blah blah blah...

And now we’re supposed to think his best days are BEHIND him?

Good Lord, the curse of Sam Bradford, Coulda Woulda Shoulda.

I think time is catching up to Bradford. He's morphing into it will NEVER happen. Cardinal fans were saying they felt like he didn't really care to be great anymore, based on last week's peformance. Maybe Bradford's role is turning into journeyman backup these days.

At age 30, you'd think he still has some good years to go. I was excited when we drafted him. We share the same birthday, 11/8; and my favorite number is 8, so I thought Bradford was destiny for the Rams...lol.

Bradford is average but streaky. Any average NFL QB can pick a defense apart if given enough time.

Considering he'll be facing a Wade Phillips coached defense with many great players, his best bet is to dink-and-dunk. Like in the game against the Raiders, that will work until the Cardinals get behind but then pressure will come and it will all collapse.

If the Cardinals can have a consistent running game and get us into a lot of 3'd and short situations, then the game might be close. Johnson and Fitzgerald are legitimate players. Plus their defense is better than the Raiders D. They also have a potentially dangerous return guy who we will need to account for.

I don't see this as a blowout. 24-21 Rams.

Gotta disagree, my man. The Cardinals Oline is absolutely garbage, Vegas agrees with me in giving the Rams a 13 point advantage (it was that way yesterday, anyway). Our offense has more wrinkles for the Cards defense....We are too much and it's gonna be bad....Last years home game in London vs the Cards was 33-0...
40-0 this year?

I think that contrary to the Oakland game we will start fast. I expect us to score on the first drive and be up 10 in the first quarter.
The AZ fans seem very down to earth and rather nice

Be careful in thinking that. Give an opposing view as a Ram fan or say the Cards will lose while giving reasoning for it, MODS inform you there is a smack talking forum....I tried posting there the last couple years, and both my posted threads haven't moved, with last post being very old...lol

Agreed, this feels like it “should” be a blowout. Cards Oline vs our Dline?

Hard to imagine how this one stays close.

That movie would be Gran Torino and other than Unforgiven, I think it’s his best film...better than Million Dollar Baby and better than any of the Spaghetti Westerns or the Dirty Harry movies.

And he learned...Vietnamese food is freakin’ good!!!

I'm probably one of the most liberal posters here...but I fucking loved Gran Torino.

And yes, Vietnamese food is excellent.
