As much as I like reading all the accolades about or team, maybe, just maybe it's going to our heads a bit too much?

It's been a long time since we have supported a team this good, and maybe we should pump the brakes a bit until the Rams actually clinch a playoff berth

JMHOOC
.

I don't understand the logic. After 13 years of futility and being the butt of jokes the Rams are finally good again. I am not pumping the brakes. I am loving every minute of it because, as we know to well, it may not last long.

No matter what happens this season, the Rams future is finally very bright. Enjoy it.

It may seem weird to say, but the Texans game will answer a lot of questions for me about this team from a holistic sense.

Agree or disagree with the sentiment, just having threads like in the midst of a Rams season makes me giddy :)

I get what you are saying Rhody. It's kind of like the jet, SR71. It is so fast it can't have a nose gun because it would shoot itself down. Think about that for a second.

But I'm going to bathe in this success. I was in the store the other day with a RAMS t-shirt on and a random guy walks by and says, " You guys sure are playing good this year!" Shortly after, I was pumping gas and a guy across from me in a Broncos t-shirt says, "I wish we were as good as you guys this year!". Yeah, I'm loving it for a change. All I tell anybody when talking about our RAMS is we really aren't playing as good we could be. We are leaving points on the field every week. I think that shocks them a little bit. And I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yess:

Although the bus is fueled by humbleness and the rear view mirror reminds me of a bumpy and rocky road, the brake pedal doesn't seem to work after years of pressing the sh!t out of it and I'm loving the way the throttle feels...

I'm sorry bro... I am being level headed and taking each game at a time but we are knocking these games out the park and I'm enjoying them as they come and it's been a good season! I know we have the meat part of our schedule coming up and then it will be hunker down time but until then

Kinda how I am looking at it.

This thread seems to be opinions on how each fan is reacting to the success. Of course, there is no right or wrong way to be a fan. Most of us have stuck behind this franchise through thick and thin... there can be no questions we are all fans of the Rams.

In years gone by, on other forums, opposing opinions and feelings would be met with harsh criticism and insults.

Another reason why this forum is so good... differing opinions, but always respect. Not "you're not looking at this right... you're not a real fan!!"... but "this is how I feel":.

Good stuff, here!

I could care less about all the hype given by the fans and the media as long as the team takes it in stride and it doesn't become a distraction. From what I see, McVay and staff will keep these guys even keeled. Listening to him talk to the media, even when they try to get him to bite on the hype, he isn't flinching. He knows how quickly teams can be humbled and how fast things can change in a matter of weeks. We still have plenty to prove, and it's how we finish that's the most important thing.

I'll keep beating these drums: #one-game-at-a-time, #we-not-me

Raquel is as good as name as any for a truck @RhodyRams

With regards to putting on the brakes, I hear what you're saying, but as fans, it's time for our voices to be heard - what comforts me is the fact that the hype doesn't seem to be getting to the players (or McVay) I think he's instilled in them humility and there's countless times I've heard him talk about 'one game at a time' etc - the dude has his head screwed on. Remember this is the exact same team where the media was saying pre-season that McVay was too young to be a HC, the Rams wasn't the right team for him, it would be at least 3 seasons before we'd see any change. Well, you know what our young HC has turned around this young team 360 from last season, and I'm thoroughly enjoying the ride.

I've just watched the Giants / Rams game, and re-watched that 3rd and 33yd play a few times, that was a thing of beauty my friends, and it was orchestrated by a HC that's 'too young and doesn't have enough experience to be a HC yet'.

Am I the only one who gets annoyed at all of these new Rams fans that are starting to pop up?? For the last 10 years my fandom has been met mostly with “how did that happen?”

It's all right Dieter...... Sooner or later the news leaks out. everyone wants to get aboard the newest and shiniest. Let them enjoy our team and hopefully some of them will end up as interesting as some of the ones we already have (You, Rhody and Boston being amongst those great older posters.....)

You think Ram fans are getting ahead of themselves? You should listen to Philly sports radio. They are already booking their hotels in Minnesota for the SB.

They have no respect for anyone. They think they are the only team having a special season and are the only team that has a "good locker room". Like they are just the only team that is really a team or some BS like that. Very annoying.

Cowherd was saying there was some weird aligning of the planets going on to get the Rams to the playoffs and if you look at all the injuries and other stuff, maybe he’s right. Sherman gets hurt, Zeke gets suspended, Rogers is out, Bradford is out, Palmer is out.
The Rams have a real shot in the nfc.

Cool thing is....

Rams played the Cowboys with EE
Vikes probably with Bridgewater the “permanent” starter
Rams ended Palmer’s year
Played Sherman and will without him-a wash
Don’t play the Pack unless in Playoffs and AR could be back by then

No excuses

What you say is true, but all these teams are trying to get in the playoffs so if the hags get crushed by Atlanta or Philly because Sherman is out, so much the better. If Dallas struggles cuz Zeke is out, great.
