I don't really have much to vent about. I've seen us go 4-0 in preseason and follow it up with what, a 2 win season. I liked a lot of the effort. I think Bradford looked great outside of the throw to Britt. Any gripe at all, would be disappointment in Donald's strength. I watched to many played where he tried to hard to out muscle instead of using any moves. He just stalemated with the guy. He is not going to push people around in this league.

Has anybody unplanted Hooey yet? Or are they waiting for the sprinklers to come on?

I have nothing to vent about.

Sam B looked sharp. That was all I was able to take away.
Vanilla schemes and a lack of key starters made it totally impossible to gauge much of anything.

I'm so proud to be a member of a board that needs a vent thread for a meaningless preseason game.

I am highly emotional about this team... But, not so much in preseason.

I wish we showed more in some areas. But, meh. I stay focused on individual play.

I don't know about venting but there were a few concerns I had.

The first is that Ray Ray Armstrong does not seem ready. If we lose one of our starting LBs, we're in big trouble.

The second is that illegal formation penalty really ticked me off. Why? I sat there and watched Austin and Quick both line-up off the LOS next to each other. And then for the next 15 seconds, I waited for one of them or Bradford to figure it out. It's just a bone-headed penalty that has no place happening. One of those two needs to recognize it and fix the problem. While Sam has a million things going on, I also would have really been impressed if he had seen it and let them know.

The third is that Tavon doesn't seem to be all the way there in terms of knowing the scheme. On his 3rd down catch, Bradford called for him to motion and Austin didn't pick it up. It took Bradford, after his third time stomping his foot, looking at Austin and telling him to go in motion for Austin to remember. While it seems minor, that's something to be concerned about. Our young WRs need to be more aware out there. I feel like that's one area where Bailey shines so we'll miss him in that regard.

The fourth is the first unit tackling of Lacy was poor. Not having Laurinaitis out there really shows.

The fifth and final observation...god help us if Person is starting. He looked completely out-matched today. Him and Wells did not do a good job as run blockers.

I'm good, but I'll play.

-We got owned in the trenches. Long and Saffold were greatly missed. They protected Sam OK, though. Running game sucked, but the play calling was very generic.

-Hooey is a cupcake

-Poor Austin Davis. He had no chance

I like Gilbert quite a bit. He's raw but has all the tools, as advertised.

-Shaun Hill looked like crap after Sam's big drive. M

-Bradford missed his most wide open throw, but performed at a high level.

-Pead is oficually a bust, not the same for Quick.

-Tre Mason is a cupcake pass blocker, as advertised. Maybe even the worste I've seen.

-OL played good for Sam, but terrible for Stacy

-Our secondary is a growing concern.

-TJ McD was incredible

-McCleoud is OK, very average

-I like Sam and Westbrooks. They'll never make it past waivers.

- Play calling was super generic. Nothing surprising, here.

-Love Robinson

-Benny Cunningham looked like our best RB, still really like Stacy

While I agree Person seemed to have some trouble at LG, he really hasn't had many snaps there in recent practices.(maybe in two weeks) I was kinda surprised that they flip flopped him and Robinson at the start of the game. Person, seems more comfortable at T, and now has the added responsibility of taking reps at Center as well.

My ex-girlfriend (Casey Phillips) ;) interviewed Kenny Britt on the sidelines in the 2nd half and didn't ask him about his shoulder and what the issue was with it. Come on Casey, pick up your game....your cuteness will only get you so far.

I think Hooey and Dill should be our starters on the left side of the line myself..:rockon::effemine:

I just think we need to give Person and Hooey a small break. They're rooks and this is huge. They're playing in the NFL. I would be shaking. They are swimming. Fish & Snead saw something in these guys. Jus sayin'

The left side seems to be more effective with Person @ OLT & Robinson @ OLG. I was impressed that Person played the entire game either @ OLG then @ OLT then moved into the OC post for most of the entire 2nd half for the first time as a Ram. Tell me the last time when the Rams had an OL'er who could do that?

One would guess that the Rams saw their 3rd OLT start tonight thats Robinson then we saw the Rams 4th OLT replace him...thats Mike Person then we saw The Rams 5th OLT replace Person ....Sean Hooey.

Last season we did not see our 4th OT until the last game of the season....& he was a former #1 pick with over 50 starts under his belt @ OT.....Chris Williams didn't do so well either.....tonight we saw a rookie, & a young vet with 1 NFL game under his belt .....so youth has been served up for the packers tonight.

My blood was boiling on all of the things being mentioned but I really have no idea what's going on in terms of approach. They say they are being vanilla but as a fan, it's hard not to be concerned when the team seems to be getting man-handled on both sides of the ball. Is the other team using schemes to gain the advantage or are they also vanilla and just more physical? Two weeks in a row the run game is poor, the pass blocking is shaky, the defense and tackling have issues...I have to fall back on the idea that Fisher and Co. are truly evaluating individuals while other teams are trying to "win" meaningless games.

- What was Greg Williams doing playing A. Donald at Nose Tackle and Langford at the 3-Tech ? Donald was double teamed on almost every play by the Center and Left Guard of the Packers first 2 series. The D-tackles were nuetralized.

- Tre Mason is going to get one of the Ram's QB's killed. He gave up 2 sacks today.

Flipping through some of the other games and many of the other teams seem far more physical.

Run-first, play action offenses should be doing a better job running the football. Even with backups.

Ray Ray Armstrong isn't ready for prime time outside of special teams.

It's probably already been said, but phooey on Hooey.

Did Austin Pettis even play?
