i'm a little disappointed in this vent thread. i was under the impression that it was created as a venue for people upset about the loss of sam bradford, rather than one for people to dump on him when he's down.

Well, at least now we all know. Sorry, Charlie Brown. I was hoping I was wrong about you. But here we are.

I was just talking crap about how this was the Rams year and Bradford was gonna finally show up. The guy just always had the deer in the headlights look, IMO, and it was always a "whoa is me" stink coming off of him. Never saw that fire and killer instinct. Always the victim.

See ya, Charlie.
is this really called for?

It's always garbage in these threads, but that's the point. We don't need these comments infiltrating other threads. And if people wanna stamp their name on some of this crud, then that's their prerogative. I wouldn't claim ownership of some of this shit, but that's just me.

I watched the game they said he was gonna be ok.

I think I'm gonna be sick or cry or something.

Bradford looked real good, poised and accurate I feel so bad for him more so than I feel sorry for myself at the moment. The guy just doesn't get a break. I just hope one day he gets a shot at a full season without some clumsy lard ass rolling up on his knee.

We now need a QB that will fit our identity. We need a tough guy. Bradford was never going to be able to fill that role, just not his deal.

I really feel sorry for the bloke, he must be absolutely gutted as I am. I just hope this doesn't derail the Rams too much and we can still have a successful season.

The attacks Bradford has taken and the butt of jokes he has become, not so much here - but it's out there BIG TIME folks, is heart breaking to me.

I know he's made millions and if you are one of "those" fans then what I am going to say will fall on deaf ears so please read no more.

It MATTERED to this kid, it really did and still does. I always knew it, and was a major reason beyond his physical skills why I love the kid and will always root for him no matter his team or walk of life.

I loved that he represented MY TEAM with such class and dignity, such honor and perseverance. As Mort said earlier yesterday; "his rookie year he played not only every game but every snap of every game even when Steve Spagnola pleaded with him to come out of some games that where out of hand he refused because I has always felt like he's owed it to the fans of St Louis and Ram fans everywhere..."

Bernie, idiot that he is, pointed out how Sam suffered through playing 5 games year two on a high ankle sprain, on a 2 win team no less, an injury that caused Eli to have surgery on mind you, just because in his heart he felt he owed it to "us the fans", then of course, in typical cowardly fashion Miklasz uses that as a negative in defining Sam Bradford.

Shame on you you fat ass tub of lard!

So as this now appears like the eventual end of the road for #8 in St. Louis I tell you in all honesty even though I have never even met the man I have been shaken to my very core over this one. I tried to sleep but have been up since 2:00 am here outside of Pittsburgh, my head is pounding and my heart is racing. I remember all too well the details LAST YEAR when his mom and dad met him in the dressing room in Carolina, and I pray I never read of the out pouring that undoubtedly took place yesterday morning in St. Louis.

For the few here that know me they know I will always be a Ram fan, have been for 45 years.

But like when Warner left, I now will have a second team to root for and I will hope and pray that like Kurt, Sam will rise from this devastation and show the world what he is capable of.

As I drove home from coaching my 17 year olds fall baseball practice yesterday I received a text from my daughter at college who doesn't know a baseball from a hockey puck, it simply said "daddy are you ok? I just heard about Sammy B..."

When I got home my wife was sleeping and when I got up the strength to get the words out of my mouth as to what had happened she just starred at me in disbelief, she's not a Ram fan but she knows the depths to which I am both a fan of this team and of this player. She knows what a good role model this guy is and always defended him herself when the darkness of this world would attack him.

I will miss you as the QB of my favorite team Sam Bradford, more than you will ever know.

Best wishes always,

Rich P.

Without a doubt your best post ever RFIP, I stayed off the board most of the day yesterday trying to let my emotions about this settle ,I'm over the devastation now and hopeful this team does what it did last year, there is enough talent if they all take it upon themselves to play to the top of their games and we get a break on the injury front we can still have a very good season.
Only a very few here know how much this season meant to me ,but like you said it meant so much to Sam and his family and my heart too goes out to him,his dreams for his entire life are in jeopardy now and I too wish him the very best wherever he eventually plays (but it better not be in the West),I too believ this league has not seen the end of him and with the proper time to heal, that he will do exactly what Jerry Rice did and will make some team glad they have him.

I really had high hopes for this team.

I thought it was finally all coming together. I get made fun of at work for being a supporter of the Rams. One of my colleagues always says, just root for whoever I'm not because they always lose. I thought this time it would prove me differently. Now I'm truly pissed off. I just want to punch someone or something. I'm still so pissed off. We all suffered so much in the past 10 seasons. It is just not fair. It really isn't. Why does this crap keeping happening over and over again to us?

What really pisses me off is that we can't really count on Bradford given his injury history. We will still need a QB of the future. Even if everything goes great for the Rams this year, Shaun Hill is 34, Bradford is injury prone. We will still need another QB. As Les Snead said, if you don't have a franchise QB, that becomes your priority. It feels like we didn't just lose Sam Bradford and maybe the 2014 season. We also lost our future

I wanna kick my co-workers in the head today...

Only one snickered about football, he desisted immediately. I'm so mad today. The sadness has turned to madness...

Couldn't agree more RFIP, I hate the fans who don't take that into consideration. Like they want their team to win more than the players do, Bradford wanted it to happen, kid wanted to bring playoffs to the Rams and his body just won't let him. It happens, and my heart goes out to him. He doesn't deserve nearly the flak he's gotten for playing good while this team was dragging him back by the ankle. While I don't think the Rams future coincides with his, I don't hate him and wish him well in recovery and hope he can put it together somewhere out of this division.

It's easy. He was our starter. He's a RAM (or was). I think most of us are loyal fans that pull for the man holding down the job. It's now Hill and most here will find him appealing because, well, he's the RAM'S QB!

First, thanks for a non-condescending or angry response.

I consider myself a loyal Rams fan (34 years and counting), and I supported Bradford, as I will now be supporting Shaun Hill (or whomever the starter is).

That being said:
There are numerous people who still want to keep Bradford at his current deal when he won't play a down.
It's been posted that Hill should play with a focus on making Bradford proud.
Multiple people seem to expect Bradford to be back at 100% and ready to start next year, and that it should be his job to lose.
Multiple posters seem to think treating Kurt Warner and Sam Bradford's careers as equal makes sense.

Things like this seem to go beyond just supporting the Rams quarterback, but that's obviously just an opinion.
Probably an unpopular one as well.

Anyway, I'm done.
I wish Sam Bradford good luck and success with whatever he decides to do going forward, and the same to all my fellow Rams fans.

As of now I am all in for Shaun Hill.
But I was and continue to be a big fan of Sam Bradford.
That said I have only ever wanted what was best for the RAMS. If that means releasing or renegotiating with Sam, whatever. I just want us to win. On a personal level, I still hope Bradford bounces back. Here or elsewhere.

I understand what you're saying. I'm a "team first" kind of a fan myself. Been a Rams fanatic since the early 60's and have seen multitudes of players and coaches come and go, even a few owners, but in the end it's the team that matters to me. I pay zero attention to Rams players who go elsewhere, not to Kurt Warner, Steven Jackson or anyone else who flies the coop or is escorted out the door.

But Sam Bradford....I just feel for the guy and what he's been through. Yeah, he made lots of money but he's still a human being with feelings who had a great desire to do his best and win. An NFL player has one career and before you know it it's over. Bradford did not have a whole lot of help in achieving his goals and that stinks.

There was never any embarrassing controversy for Bradford. No drug or alcohol related arrests, no beating up women, no killing dogs, nothing to embarrass the team or the fanbase. He just showed up for work and did the best he could. For that alone he should be applauded and given respect.

Sam Bradford is damaged goods. No one here knows for sure but he probably has played his last game as a Ram. So there's a mixture of grief and anger in this thread and that's to be expected. Eventually we will get back to the business of rooting on the team but for awhile it will be about the loss of this one player.

No kidding.

What a bunch of pussy wimps.

We have such a gaggle of disloyal, yellow-bellied punks in our midst.

I'm a little disappointed in the people that are bashing.

Now, I'm just venting. I'm not actually hitting anybody.

But right now, I think I would.

Look, I don't think Bradford will every play as a Ram again. And yes, I think maybe at this point we've invested enough and it hasn't worked. But I don't see any reason for the punk ass attitudes.

This is the same fan base that ran Kurt Warner out.

Dogged marc bulger. (I was one)

And whined about Bradford.

We haven't even had anybody else halfway decent since Everett.

Maybe we don't deserve a decent team led by a decent quarterback?

You know what I hate, the Packers game. It like the universe or god or whatever said "here's what Sam could have been if he was put in a situation where he could succeed" then in it's best Chris Tarrent voice "But we don't want to give you that" Fuck you universe or god or whatever.
