When I say it's funny I mean it's like a no duh statement.

That may be why contracts are four, five, six years and not 10 years because everybody skills diminish at a different rate.

I don't know anybody who is trying to put a team together to win that's worried about what's going to happen 10 years from now.

And with a guy like Case Keenum you have no idea what other aspects of his game might improve in that same time period.

Keep selling him short if that's your thing.
I’m selling him for what he is. A scrappy game manager with insufficient arm strength to carry a team. You can put 20 other QBs on this Minnesota team and you would see the same results.

Also, why bother drafting a QB in the first round if you’re not looking towards the future? Any smart team looks ahead. That’s the point of the draft.

I'm happy for Case, he's a good dude who deserves the success he's having. I just don't expect it to continue; at some point his limitations will show.

Vikes are really on a roll though man, this year's version is precisely the team that Jeff Fisher wanted to have. Fish probably spanks it watching their all 22 on defense with Case behind center.

Man I wish our TE's were decent and our WR's could make clutch catches. WE SHOULD HAVE BEAT THE VIKINGS. freak! Why can't I get over the Vikings game?!

Its those 10 yard passes that are getting the Lions going.

And that's a way a team should be built. IF you depend solely on your QB to win games you end up like the Packers if your QB goes down. Look at New England. If Brady goes down, I guarantee the Pats make the playoffs.

Oh I agree completely. The Vikings have done a great job building the team. But the topic is if Keenum is really this great QB out of the blue, or if it’s more a product of the team. I vote the ladder.

What's the point of making the playoffs if you exit in the first round. There are no participation trophies.

Well I hope the ladder falls out from under him. Tired of the Vikings now. Eff 'em.

The point is I get to see the Rams play in a tournament where anything can happen. Sure as hell beats not being there at all.

He has an OC that is calling plays that he knows his QB can complete. That's just smart football. All to often we see OC try to have the QB adjust to what they want. It's also one of the reasons teams like the Pats and Seahawks are successful. Their OC plays to the QB strengths.

Last years Patriots team yes with Garoppolo, dont know about this years their Defense isn't as good.
You have not been paying attention to the Pats defense. They gave up 32 points per game the first 4 games. Since that point they have only given 13.2 points per game. But if you think that poor defense......

Keenum don't like getting sacked. Lol
It's funny...We have been having this conversation about who Keenum is, and I turned on the game just as Keenum is getting sacked...ha!

The refs are doing their best to give this game to Detroit. Holy crap talk about some bad calls.
