I am old, but I was 8 then.....I was busy playing stick guns with a nail for a trigger back then.
I know a lot here might have only been a zygote then but the pain was real.

I was watching SB XIV at home on TV. Was totally crushed to see Cromwell drop that pick 6 ball in real time. Was already disappointed that Youngblood wasn't at full strength. Yeah, let's give them another loss in LA.

I’d love to see McVay / Morris insert Noteboom as a 6th OL to help neutralize Watt and Highsmith while establishing a power running game. This would help Evans and Freeman gain confidence. Play action would also leave Higs open as the LBs get sucked in to help against the run.

To me the key to winning this game will be to make the Steelers respect the run game or it could be a real nail biter.

I live in the middle of Squeeler country , so I hope to hell the Rams show up. They’ve lost 4 in a row now , and I’ve heard all about.
I was there in 2003 when they won , but I was also there for the 27-0 and the 17-12 shit shows. They are weak against the run and of course we lose Kyrie and Rivers. The Squeelers seem to get every luck bounce and break. I need this win for my sanity around all these obnoxious fans.

The Steelers always seem to be a team that out physicals us and shuts our offense down.

Their offense can be absolute garbage, but we tend to let those types go down the field.

I honestly don't think we need to try to run on the Steelers. They are built to shut that shit down.

Gotta dial up some passes vs them and by all means plan to neutralize Watt or its game over.
Right now they are the 4th WORST against the run giving up 143.8 per game. We absolutely have to make them pay attention to our running game, if not, Watt and Highsmith could really exploit our edge protection if they can just pin their ears back and rush all game. If McVay thinks Stafford can sit back back and throw 40+ times he is going to get killed. I like the way or o-line has been playing recently but those 2 edge rushers are a different animal.

I’m pretty worried about the game plan fir this week. With Williams out is there any way that McVay keeps pounding the ball with the run game? If not, does Stafford survive against that pass rish?

This game really has me intrigued right now.

The Steelers are a bit of a mystery to me and how we’re going to handle them with our top two rushers out.

They are stronger versus the pass so would we target that with both Nakua and Kupp or see what we have in our RB’s we just got?

Not worried about the Steelers offense much.

Nice that the Cardinals are on the road but would be better if the were back east in the 10AM slot. 'Course then, I'd probably not be getting a late game at all...
