I really hate to say this, but stuck here in Philly, being inundated with obnoxious Eagle fans.... I hope the Pats cheat like hell this weekend and pull out the win. Then they kind of get caught which ruins their title, but it keeps the Eagle fans without a SB win....that would be great, just to see them all tick'ed off about it... That's my perfect SB Sunday.

I feel your pain. This would be great. The Pats win and then it is once again tainted by cheating. Half of Philly would get in their cars and drive to Boston and start beating up New Englanders.

The story this week is that Eagle fans are not being treated well in Minnesota this week due to teh Viking fans not happy how their fans, that traveled to Philly last week, were treated.

This was mild for Eagle fans... but man what an embarrassment. I can't believe these people will have me actually rooting for the Pats.

This may be wrong to say but that Jihad that was running people down with his truck, missed the golden opportunity right there. He probably wouldn't even have been prosecuted.

The Tyree catch is what beat them one year. And Brady was essentially a statue because of the foot injury so they just kept sending a blitz to force him to throw it or take a sack.

No, that was just one thing that happened. Eli still had to get a go-ahead TD, which he did to Plaxico Burress. Then that front 4 had to close it out. There was no comeback for NE that year. The next Super Bowl the Giants had no need for miracles, because they flat out smacked them around.

Unlike the Falcons last year, and unlike the Jags this year.

When a top D gets to Tom Brady, he struggles. And the Jets, Ravens, Giants all knew that, and most recently the Broncos.

I'm over the cheating and all the other BS. NE is beatable, and teams need to beat them. Not blow 21 point leads or talk a lot of smack and fail to back it up.

When you incentive-ise gain....people will do anything to gain a buck...look at your common car accident...look at the insurance system....medical system....all to make a buck...to capitalize....on a presumed weakness....Belichick was fired in Cleveland....wasn't gonna let that happen without a fight. Brady went 6th round....you know how close he was to not making the league? Bledsoe could really throw....
Meh...
That is precisely why I mentioned darwinian capitalism. Unregulated capitalism is how you describe above "people will do anything to make a buck." Regulation of capitalism reigned in those impulses, for the good of all. Sure, people still take advantage of others and steal from them. Certainly nothing to admire, and something that should be stomped on, HARD.

If you aint cheating....you aint trying....it's why I don't see a problem with people trying to get ahead by any means necessary....it's a result of capitalism...guys will do anything to get ahead....Kraft, Belichick, Brady....all of them.

Wow! Are you serious or are you trolling to get a response?

Yes but without that play the game is finished and the Giants lose.

The game was wrapped up then and there with 35 seconds on the clock.

I agree that front four set the tone and kept Brady from being effective like he usually is, but he had just driven them all the way down field for a TD on a long drive on that defense to take the lead.

Tell me....truthfully...Bill Belichick wins his titles...in 20 years, the cheating stuff is a small footnote, but the guy will be remembered as the greatest coach of all-time....no matter if he cheated or not....his family will be set for some time...estate created...on all the back of cheating....same with the Kennedy's....same with the Bush's....same with....hell, what's the name of the bootleggers that formed a famous beer? It's the same thing...taking advantage to increase financial gain...at any cost. Capitalizing. If it's different tell me how/why? The ends in todays society justify the means for most.

You didn't answer my question. There's two characteristics I can't stand in my fellow human beings; lying and cheating. Anyone who makes a lifestyle out of those two things has no honor and is not worthy of respect.

So to answer your question; Belichick and his franchise will never get my respect for their "success." They will always have an asterisk next to their titles. Their reputation was ruined long ago in the eyes of many and is not recoverable. They take their place in the Hall of Shame next to Tonya Harding, Lance Armstrong, and everyone else that couldn't win on a fair playing field and had to cheat, or as they call it "bend the rules."

Btw it sure hasn't hurt the Patriots organization to play six games each season in one of the weakest divisions in the NFL.

Exactly...and, it appears it is human nature to lie/cheat/steal....

Should be stomped on hard.....agreed...but it's mostly a slap on the wrist....cheating in football is dealt with as a slap on a wrist....therefore...there is still significant motivation to cheat....due to minimal punishment. If Philly were really trying to win, they'd have photographers and undercover mic's at every Pats practice this week. Blue font but not really joking....Nick Foles looked like he saw a ghost yesterday at the press event....looked skinnier than ever too. LOL

Totally serious

Pats success has had a domino effect...they win, others lose, change coach/front office, cycle repeats....I'd guess that a couple of coaches should still be in the AFC East...Herm Edwards....and Rex Ryan...

True. Alexis deToqueville had it right when he said, "Not until I went into the churches of America...did I learn the secrets of her genius and power. America is great, because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, it will cease to be great." America is still the great est Nation on Earth. (easily) Sadly, we are slipping away like the fools in Europe, rather than submitting to an authority higher than our own desires.

There will always be Robber Barons. Whether in Capitalism or Socialism/Communism. The difference is, in Capitalism, the underclass still eat well, stay warm and wonders what to watch on TV tonight. In socialism, they stand in lines for food, shiver, watch out for thieves to steal them blind tonight.

I thought something similar about Spags , @Selassie I but I didn't project it to his failure with the Rams. Great point!

And somehow, someway they still won.

Too bad other teams can't finish like the Giants did.

Player after player and coach after coach who played the Patriots during their run during the early-to-mid 2000s thinks they cheated. These are people who were on the field, saw firsthand what was happening, and had intimate knowledge of what the Pats should have and should not have known. These people keep saying that they cheated. I'm just not sure how any non-Pats fan can reject that. I feel very confident that Mike Martz, Marshall Faulk, Steve Spagnuolo, Kurt Warner, Orlando Pace, etc. know the difference between a prepared team and a team that's cheating.

Spags was a terrible coach for us, but I respect him for putting himself out there with this. It's definitely not going to do him any favors with regard to his career.

Tell Barry Bonds that. It's absolutely dirty what the MLB is doing to him. But cheating is not a footnote for him. It's a dark cloud hanging over his career despite the fact that he's arguably the best to ever play the game.

I hate the fact that the Pats "stole" that 2002 title....that was my favorite Rams team....until that loss....gotta go 1979....with Ferragamo....Dickerson in the 86 season....the 2105 year....man.
Probably my favorite Rams teams as well (assuming you are including the 99 team as well), but I gotta throw in this years squad as well. :)

Without Ernie Adams and his photographic memory in the booth from day one, the patsies dynasty doesn't happen. Its much much easier when you know where the pressure will be coming from on every play before beforethe snap. Not against the rules but an obvious unfair advantage.
This man here is WOKE, lol. I have been saying this for years!!! That fucking Ernie Adams......
