If they sign Barron they're ok. If not, they're gonna need to draft the position.

The only way they start MO is at SS and TJ as Free or Deep safety which is not ideal for TJ.

Absolutely. He's one of my favorite players in this draft because I think he's an impact difference maker on defense and should be there in round 2.

I don't agree Orchid. People were panicked over McLeod starting, many felt the UDFA safety was not good enough. We have a great coaching staff on defense and talented guys. We will be fine at safety.

I was referring to JL at Linebacker for the front seven alignment and Rodney for the secondary.

McLeod is one of the most physical, hard hitting players on our defense.

Anyway you look at it it's one more hole to fill. A resource has t be extended to just maintain the play level and not to improve another position.

After all, the reason McLeod is getting his big payday is because they did a great job developing him. And to be fair, we already have some potential replacements on the roster.

You act as though we are talking the same money a year ago? Besides, read my post again before going nuclear..I said MAYBE Jenkins. I have no doubt that both men could have been had for less a year ago, than what they just got from teams willing to overpay now.

McCloud became an above-average free safety. He's certainly replaceable. There just isn't a good candidate to do it.
